@alcaprari23

May 11 (cont'd):
-Before going home, Colin stopped his motorcycle, providing Armstrong a fake alibi about his whereabouts that evening
-Alibi: He went to deliver marijuana to a friend in North Austin who needed it for pain.
-When he arrived home at dark, there was no text response from Armstrong
-He remembers having a 7-minute phone call with a friend named Allen from his home. He was advising him on bike parts
-Colin never left the house for the remainder of the evening
-Colin texted Armstrong about plans for the next morning. Armstrong never responded

Alex Note: During this entire testimony in the courtroom, Strickland's eyes are closed as he traces back in his memory. His arms are crossed in front of him. He is in a trance as he speaks. He does not look at the prosecutor as he answers questions. The jury is looking back and forth from Q to A. Armstrong stares straight ahead.

6:02 PM · Nov 3, 2023

Of course he has to toss in the reason the friend needed it, because recreational is illegal in TX. He was probably more upset about being on the stand and having to admit this than anything else.

I can’t imagine testifying has been easy for this guy.

I vascillate between hoping he is still truly upset about Mo and his involvement, peripherally, and thinking he's just more worried about his own career.

Now Colin speaks about May 13, 2022:
-Armstrong and Colin go to a coffee shop 5-10 minutes away. They tried to maintain a sense of normalcy.
-They felt paranoid, as if microphones were placed inside the house
-They made plans to go to Walmart to get new phones. They discussed getting a new attorney
-He gathered his things and went to Lockhart, TX, where his business is located
-He never saw Armstrong again after that

AND, note that she didn't blow up at him for being with Mo. Had she not killed her, she probably would have went on a tirade, but she knew had to play dumb and keep the peace.

May 13, 2022 (cont'd):
-Returning home, a note was left from Armstrong. Said she attempted to get to Lockhart, but the car smelled like gas, so she did not continue.

6:24 PM · Nov 3, 2023
Must be why she only got 12K for the car when she sold it..CarMax must have discounted it 4K for the gas smell.

IMO he must have had a strong suspicion she was involved somehow when he returned home and she was gone.

Also quick Q about why the audio of CS being questioned the next morning (on the body cam) wasn’t allowed to be played earlier. The defense objected on the grounds that it was hearsay and the judge agreed they should remove that audio. But how is CS relaying his own interactions with MW the day she was murdered considered hearsay? Anyone know?

Thanks everyone for the tweets from various reporters! Very interesting to see how each one of them summarizes in their own way, not always for the best. So wish we could be watching this ourselves, as we've all said.

And thanks for the good conversation about the case. I'm always interested in what others think and hearing different perspectives.

And now we wait until Monday. Ugh!

Strickland says he got home, tried to get ahold of Armstrong but couldn't, so he started prepping his bike for the upcoming race.

He says Wilson eventually arrived at the house in her black Jeep Grand Cherokee w/ bike rack on back. She was carrying a bag with a yoga mat in it.

Strickland said Armstrong's demeanor didn't strike him as anything out of the ordinary. They both stayed in his house that night.

The next morning, APD told Strickland that Wilson had been killed. "I was shell shocked."

Prosecutors: "You must have asked her if she was at Mo's apartment that night?"

Strickland: "Yes.

"Prosecutors: "Where did she say she was?"

Strickland: "She gave me a list of her whereabouts. She said she went to a waxing appointment, a yoga class, then visited a healer."

Strickland said Armstrong expressed paranoia saying there may be microphones in the house, so they went to a coffee shop to talk.

She said she wanted to get another phone since hers had been seized. He suggested Walmart.

Strickland said he never saw Armstrong again.

Funny how when telling the court all the things he and KA did the night and days subsequent to Mo's murder, CS didn't mention how KA was "extra passionate" in the bedroom.

May 11 (cont'd):
-Armstrong arrives home, Colin stays in the garage working
-Colin goes inside home to pack provisions for his race and travel. Colin drinks whiskey and watched a cycling documentary at a computer at the kitchen table with Armstrong
-Armstrong was calm, collected and there was nothing out of the ordinary. Armstrong did not speak about Mo Wilson.
-Colin sleeps at the house and so does Armstrong.

Regrets, as I may have missed it, but was it ever established what time KA returned home? Anyone recall? TIA

And thanks for this. This is the first time we're reading that he actually SAW her when she returned home (carrying a bag with a yoga mat in it). I wondered if she dashed into the house, showered, etc. Seems she was business as usual. Wow. And the first time we've heard that he asked her if she was at Mo's, I think.

I don't recall for certain but think it was at least 20-30 min after Colin got back but not much longer? Folks have theorized she may have taken a shower at her other property but I don't think it was hours later.

^^rsbm
The defense objection that the Judge ruled on to suppress part of the video audio was that the interactions being recorded by LE were moving beyond CS reaction to news Mo was dead, and becoming more of an interrogation/interview where he was asked to come to APD for a more formal interview (where he'd be speaking under Miranda for six hours).

Colin testifying now as a witness about conversation with Mo makes his conversation with MO admitted hearsay because KA, the defendant, can confront the witness.

ETA: The judge allowed the jury to view the whole video but ruled the audio must be cut after the first few minutes, essentially just enough to capture CS initial reaction (i.e., why LE was wearing bodycams on the drive by visit).

Geez. Colin leaving the courtroom in Covid mask and dark glasses (he's in the khaki colored shirt). A media photographer walking backwards backs into a traffic blockade thingie and falls down. Colin basically steps over him and continues on! Screenshots from video here for those not on Twitter.

I'm sure reporter meant to tweet that ARMSTRONG eventually arrived at the house in her black Jeep.

This is twice I have seen references to her dress being pulled up past her waist, and the wording concerns me. This is bothering me, a lot. Am I the only one? Am I reading too much into this? JMO
I dont think yiou are reading too much into this at all. The victim was perceived as being a romantic / sexual rival.

Thus, it's plausible that Armstrong could have positioned the dress as some sort of hasty / clumsy symbolism ("This is the part that got her into trouble...").

Or, she could of had a more direct form of symbolism in mind, perhaps removing the victim's underwear (creepy, but probably not unheard of), but lost nerve and fled.

where is the defense witness list....bring in the healer and the yoga class and the couple of guys she dated when she and CS were not in a relationship but still living in the same house..
The Travis County Court Public portal does not give access to the docs and there is a gag order in place until the trial is over so MSM is also not accessing court docs and linking them for viewing.

Perhaps she had a gas can inside the vehicle because she was burning evidence and had a spill. I wonder if she went back to the dumpster too.

Eh -- probable another lie.

Probably a good thing KA didn't make it to Lockhart because CS may have become the second victim.
