If it is true that she is a "chameleon," then that is a good skill/quality to have while she is incarcerated. She will need to adapt, now in jail, and in a few years within the prison system.
And then when she is released on parole and re-enters society, after she has paid her debt to society.
I don't believe "chameleon" in the sense I am observing is a skill. IMO it's an absence of self.

In prison, "chameleon" may be an advantage, since no doubt there are a lot of "chameleons" among female inmates: as The Behavior Panel discusses (e.g. with Jodi Arias), this is a pathological characteristic.

However, "chameleon" doesn't work so well in real life, for the same reason.

I suppose another kind of "chameleon" might be a psychopath like Ted Bundy, who used it as a strategy for evil. However, IIRC, he didn't LOOK different to different people. He didn't blend in to someone else (by contrast with KA, who tries to become her sister, and looks different in every photo).

The 8-minute newslink by KVUE is worth listening to if trying to understand Travis County (Austin) bond decisions after Texas bail reform.
Thanks! Very informative.

I hope they can keep KA in jail. Whose to say she won’t have another jealous melt down and shoot a new love interest of CS’s if she’s out on bond.

@RickshawFan
I actually do distinctly recall reading a bio book about Bundy where the author (can’t recall now which it was, as I read several) stated that Bundy had “many looks” and could look remarkably different at different times.

ETA:
When Ted Bundy was arrested in Utah and put on trial for the attempted kidnapping of Carol DaRonch, she proved to be an unreliable eyewitness. Although she remembered key details about his Volkswagen Beetle, she was unable to identify him from a mugshot. The defense pressed her on the inconsistency: it seemed odd, given her attacker hadn’t been wearing a mask and they’d interacted for several minutes.

But after viewing different photos of Bundy throughout the years, one might understand DaRonch’s confusion. Bundy had a chameleon-like ability to deftly change appearances—whether physically or with the help of costumes and props—which helps explain why the vicious killer was able to evade the law for so long. In the mid-1970s, the serial killer murdered at least 30 womenacross multiple states, baffling investigators for years.

I'm beginning to think a lot of these posts about her changing appearance say more about those posting than about Kaitlyn.

Why? Because I don't see her as being that different in photos. Sure she looked more fresh-faced in her high school pics, who doesn't? And her nose job has changed her face (although the final "look" may be different as swelling subsides). If she ever smiles again for a photo, other tweaks to her face may be more noticeable.

I also don't understand the way the media can't get her hair color straight. She is a strawberry blond & until she went medium golden brown (per boxed hair color description) to disguise it, to me the red in her hair was the most obvious descriptor. And I do think her current color is a DIY job.

Some pics make her hair look light brown due to lighting but in general it seems consistent to me. She wore it really long after high school & that was consistent, too.

As to her potential pathologies, those interest me. How those contribute to her becoming a murderer is something of value to understand.

Oh, and I also don't think her photos or teeth were photoshopped in recent photos, as others seem to take for granted.

Just my 2 cents

ETA: I can roll & scroll so not trying to argue.

Maybe people see colors differently. Like that whole internet debate years ago - is this dress blue or is it black?

Blue on black. Tears on a river. Push on a shove. Don’t mean much ….Blue on Black >>enter blazing guitar solo.

Oh wait …I got side tracked. Sorry …I love that song and guitar solo :)

Anyway, I agree. I see her natural hair color as red. Not brown, not blond. Not blue. Not black. And definitely not Blue on Black!

To me, she just looks like different types in photos. I see her as strawberry blonde and am not focusing on nose and teeth. I just can’t seem to “get” her look, the way I can with CS, MW, and people like Amanda Knox, Gabby Petito, even though the last 3 often changed hairstyle, clothes styles, etc.

In her glammed up photos, she is wearing eyelash extensions or false eyelashes. Trust me, they can really change your look. She’s an attractive girl with or without make up, but she’s one of those women who are really transformed by make up and lashes. And lets’s not forget, she appears to use Botox which relax the muscles and wrinkles in your face making you appear more rested and less stressed. Also, her face lights up when she’s smiling which changes her whole face.
I could go on and on and on and on and on analyzing her face because I’m interested and shocked at how the plastic surgery changed her look, but in the big scheme of things - her looks don’t really matter. It’s what she did and why. Justice for Mo.

Murderous jealousy -- it's in our genes

Jealousy is possibly the most destructive emotion housed in the human brain. It’s the leading cause of spousal murder worldwide, according to analyses I did of data over the last century. And, statistics show, it’s the leading drive behind the killing of “mate poachers” — interlopers who attempt to lure away our partners.

<snipped>

We discovered that mate poachers evoke an astonishing number of homicidal fantasies in otherwise normal people. In a study of 5,000 people in six cultures, 84% of women and 91% of men admitted to having had at least one fantasy of murder, and the vast majority fantasized about killing sexual rivals, often in painful and gruesome ways. Fortunately, most don’t act on their homicidal fantasies. Laws and morals are powerful deterrents to murderous impulses — most of the time.

I read some articles from awhile back that say that Travis County Jail was quarantining new inmates for 14 days when they arrived at the jail, due to covid-19 protocols. Not sure if they are still doing it now or not. But if they are, it is possible that Kaitlin is staying mostly in her cell.

Not to get too involved in KA looks, I sometimes remind myself that her face was the last thing Mo Wilson saw in her short life. And I think that there is some disbalance here. I don't know if there is a tacit agreement not to comment on the victims in press, or not, but between "how did KA change her nose?" and "what fillers she used?", the obvious tragedy of a young athlete, shot in her head, multiple times, at close distance, is being lost. It is unfair.
