TX - Motel manager attacked and beheaded by employee during argument - Dallas, Sept 2025

  • #21

Court records show a violent history. In 2017, Cobos-Martinez was arrested in South Lake Tahoe, California, for attempting to carjack a woman while naked. The following year, he was arrested in Harris County on indecency with a child charges, which were dismissed. He was later
charged with aggravated assault for breaking a jailer’s jaw.
In 2023, he pled guilty to misdemeanor assault and was credited with nearly five years already served. California prosecutors said he later fled probation.

Rbm.

The first bolded seems to indicate he has been violent for some time.
The second is interesting ... was there any follow up after Yordanis, 'fled probation' ?
Imo.

She said Cobos-Martinez worked long hours at the Dallas motel but often felt exploited.
“He would tell me, Mamita, I want to leave here because they don’t see any money, they don’t pay me, and I’m a slave.”

This was the killer's version.

Was it possible he was being paid and wasted it, and then had nothing to show for his paychecks, or worse, wasn't doing the work asked of him ?

I am going to give the victim the benefit of the doubt.
Even so, Yordanis could have left and gone to work elsewhere.
No excuse for murder.

Rest in peace, Chandra Nagamallaiah !
My condolences to his family.

Before he was booked into the Dallas County Jail on Wednesday on a capital murder charge, Cobos-Martinez’s criminal history revealed a path of escalating violence that spans
Florida, California and Texas.
Cobos-Martinez told police he had about 20 beers and smoked a joint of marijuana before the carjacking.

A one man path of destruction. 😡

Question: Was he spending his money on booze and drugs, and thus told his family he wasn't getting paid ?

"...the current administration has convinced many of those countries to take back their citizens, including Cuba and Venezuela...."

So there's a chance he may be sent back to his relatives ?
Sorry for them as it looks from his ongoing patterns, he may need locking up for the remainder of his days.
He could still get help and meds from behind bars, though.
Imo.

Cobos-Martinez got angry that Nagamallaiah was using a witness to translate and attacked him, according to the document.

Sounds like this is what set him off. ^^^
If Yordanis' English was bad, an interpreter was needful, there was nothing wrong in the victim's actions !
Smh.
A ticking time bomb without provocation, imo.

What a sad and gruesome death for Chandra.
And in front of his wife and child. 😭
Omo.
