'He lost his mind.' | Family of man charged in beheading says he struggled with mental illness for years
Yordanis Cobos-Martinez, 37, is charged with the beheading of a motel manager, amid family claims of mental illness and failed attempts at repatriation.

Court records show a violent history. In 2017, Cobos-Martinez was arrested in South Lake Tahoe, California, for attempting to carjack a woman while naked. The following year, he was arrested in Harris County on indecency with a child charges, which were dismissed. He was later charged with aggravated assault for breaking a jailer’s jaw.
In 2023, he pled guilty to misdemeanor assault and was credited with nearly five years already served. California prosecutors said he later fled probation.

The first bolded seems to indicate he has been violent for some time.
The second is interesting ... was there any follow up after Yordanis, 'fled probation' ?
