So her father was attempting to downplay what happened to B in hopes that the press would die down and the spotlights and attention can go away or he was misunderstood by the reporter at NBC DFW

Very glad this little girl is alive and back safe with her family. Given the charges now being levied against her abductor she is lucky to be alive IMO

I think the reporter must have misunderstood, from what I saw Dad didn't speak English.

Poor little B. I pray that she's getting all the love she needs right now. And I pray that she grows up to understand the difference between what happened to her and what is part of a healthy, loving relationship.
