A 50-year-old Dallas man with a history of abusing his elderly mother lived with her decomposing corpse for about a week after allegedly beating her to death, MyFoxDallas reported Monday.
According to the report, police discovered the fatally beaten body of Nora Lee Cook, 84, in her bedroom Saturday after neighbors reported a foul odor coming from Cook's home. The neighbors had told 911 operators that they had not seen Cook in several days, authorities said.

That poor mother! The article states that she requested her neighbors did not call the cops when he beat her as she did not want him to go to jail!
In no way did she deserve this, but I have to imagine what else she 'enabled' him to do in his life.
