Jury selection begins today. Be sure to watch the video & the comments of a prospective juror dismissed today. Contrary to the whining from the defense about not being able to get a fair jury, this dismissed juror says there is no way the 260 prospective jurors are going to come out unscathed from this experience. He says no matter the decision reached, the county is going to be angry. He said it's just something that Erath Co. is just going to have to learn to live with. I must say it surprises me that half the county would be for an insanity verdict.

2 weeks for the whole trial?

According to wfaa.com noon news, morning proceedings discussed & agreed upon by the judge, prosecution & defense were that both widows would be allowed to testify early in the trial. This would allow them to remain in the courtroom for all of the other testimony. This info has not been posted to WFAA website yet.

Taya Kyle, Chris Kyle's widow will be among first witnesses to testify tomorrow. Judy Littlefield, mother of Chad Littlefield will also be among first witnesses to testify.

This link is not working correctly, but it will take you to an article you can click on to read this report.

Here's a news article about CK's widow testifying tomorrow:

Apparently that is what they think.

It only took 3 weeks to sentence Eric Williams with the DP back in December in Rockwall County. Exceptionally heinous and premeditated and ruthless. Wasn't even done killing people. Sat through the whole damn trial like he was deader than a hammer. No emotions, reactions. Nothing.

The family got to make victim impact statements after he was sentenced. Heart-wrenching. I don't cry much anymore, but those victims had me sobbing. Thankfully, the entire trial was all webcast via a local news station.

It's really disappointing that the Routh trial will not be.

I am totally disgusted by Eddie Ray Routh!! IMO, he is disrespecting & slapping every veteran in the face with his claims of PTSD. I've known veterans of all wars since WWII. Some have had problems but none has ever killed another person, much less two.

Wasn't he diagnosed with PTSD? I thought that's why he was hospitalized.

There are some media stories that say he never saw active combat. I will be anxious to see what the truth is.

http://www.wfaa.com/story/news/crim...ors-cast-doubt-on-rouths-ptsd-claim/23207415/

Prosecutors filed a brief with the court on Tuesday casting doubt about Routh's claims of PTSD.

I realize that all of you know I have a strong opinion about this case. However, if you will take time to read this article, it is quite informative. Surely prosecutors must have some evidence to support this brief.

:moo: MOO Whooooa...Mind. Blown. If all of these allegations are true? The <modsnip> needs to be put down.
Honestly, the world would not miss this guy. LWOP? Yeah okay sure fine whatever keep it simple. MOO :moo:

*snip*

Prosecutors also said Routh "killed small animals and took an interest in watching them die. He made statements that he 'liked to hear them take their last breaths,'" according to the filings.

And that's the PG content. Red flag much?

Actually, I am basically opposed to the death penalty for almost any case. That being said, I just want Routh locked up for life without parole in the interest of public safety. MOO, he would always be a menace.

You and my daughter, even if we agree on everything up to that point.
Thanks for stating your opinion so succinctly. Opposition noted. :seeya:
