GUILTY TX - Penny, 37, Matthew, 13, & Tyler Caffey, 8, shot to death, 1 March 2008

When all is said and done, it might be shocking to find out how many people knew about the plot. It is such a small town. There is no way for anything that big to be kept a secret.

Lots of other kids would be aware of the issues surrounding the relationship and parental disapproval, kids will talk about stuff like that, and Wilkinson seems from what I have read like a kid who liked attention,

the affectation of wanting to wear a cowboy hat in school sounds like a kid who likes to be noticed,

I am sure LE will be rounding up all the kids they were friends with, and LE will be questioning all the dead victims friends so that they will learn what the parents were saying about Erin and her relationship,

for now I bet everybody just feels like they have been run over by a 10 ton truck, whoever could imagine that a little slip of a thing like she is could fit that much hatred in and put into action a plan that ended with her mother and brothers dead and her dad seriously wounded,

At the below link check out the screen capture of a Myspace post by "Sexual Seduction". This person claims a Michael knew about the plot and feels he's as guilty as the rest of them. I tend to agree. BTW, according the the affidavit a Michael Dickinson answered the door and was taken in for questioning along with Wilkerson. More people to be charged maybe?

With fascination, I read the entire blog. Wow. Erin may have been pregnant? She was trying to get pregnant? Wow again.

I wonder how long it will be before the blame game begins between the two lovebirds. He'll accuse her of planning the crime, maybe turn state's evidence. She'll insist he was behind it all.

I found it surprising that she started to cry when she found she wasn't going home. What kind of world did she live in to think she wouldn't be held accountable? Did the others really think they would get away with murder? Guess they didn't think at all.

I wonder just what home she thought she was going to? She had just participated in the murders of her mom and brothers and probably left her home believing that her dad was also dead. She had participated in seeing that her home was burned to the ground. I guess this girl never watched Law and Order or CSI or anything else. You don't go home when you help murder your whole family. Home is going to be a little cell without a cell phone or male sex.

It really gets me that her and her boyfriend went to the other guy's place after the murders and had SEX :furious: It's almost like they were celebrating the murders!

IMO, the coldest of the sociopathic cold blooded killers always do at least one of three things shortly after a murder, eat, have sex or sleep. Erin and Wilkenson did at least two of those. They are truly cold blooded killers.

I think Erin's plan was to use the other three to do her dirty work then blame it all on them. I couldn't figure out what her exit plan was and why she thought she was going to be released and also why grandma was with her. From the affidavit:

She told Deputy Fischer that she was asleep and woke to the subjects yelling at her to get on the floor. The girl then told Deputy Fischer that she remembers fire and nothing else.

I don't think that would work. She had her bags packed and she took them with her, she gave the guys the combination to the lock box and I'm sure a medical exam will prove she had sex and was not raped. And now we read she may be pregnant! What an idiot, ruin countless peoples lives by killing 3 innocent people and then bring another innocent victim into this mess.

I must have missed that. Good deal then. Crumbles her little story a bit doesn't it?

I'm so sad and horrified reading that affidavit. Both CW's killed. Erin told them to come back in 1 hour so she could get the dog to quiet down. Plenty of time to think about things and change herevil mind. :(

I thought about that when I read the affidavit. I wondered how she could just sit out in the car knowing her parents and brothers were being murdered. Even if she was angry with them, seems to me it would have clicked in her head the moment the boys went into the house that her family would soon be dead forever and she could've ran in there and stopped it. :furious:

I hope she is tried as an adult for this, but it doesn't seem like that will be the case since she's in juvie. Wonder how the grandmother feels that she's relying on? That would be hard on me!

If this isn't a case for a minor being charged as an adult, I don't know what is.

There are steps they can take to corraborate some of the statements they made, Wilkinson says that Erin called him from the house to say come back in one hour and she would quieten the dog, LE can get phone records to check this,

plus they could check the home where she was found to see if she had luggage with her belongings in,

they could also check to see if the locked box was opened by the use of a combination, showing that somebody had to have revealed the combination to them, and that would most likely be Erin,

I wonder if they broke in to try to make it look like a burglary,

Nope Erin gave them the combination. SusieQ's post earlier.

Last line or 2 of pg 2.

This dumb bunny was the instigator from what it looks like. How on earth they all agreed to it is mind boggling.

If Erin was tried as an adult and convicted she would be eligible for life without parole. The death penalty is not an option. Now, if she was tried and convicted as a juvenile the maximum sentence could be 40 years and she could be eligible for parole as early as age 19.

You don't have to make it look like a burglary when you burn the house down!

If the two boys weren't originally supposed to be killed, then what were they going to do with them when they started the fire? Wake them up and have them run? Was the fire planned? Or did they just start that once they had killed everyone?

So many questions....

You're right Taximom. Weren't they planning this for a month? They had to know the sound of gunshots could wake the boys up. They couldn't risk being identified so they went upstairs and shot the older one and stabbed the little guy to death. :furious: Horrible. Did they run out of bullets? Then they were "smart" enough to get Erin's overnight bag and purse and open the combination to the safety box. It could have been a spur of the moment idea to burn the house down to get rid of evidence and make sure everyone was dead. They did not bring any flammable liquid with them as far as we know and they certainly did not count on the father to escape.

I just can't imagine the horror of killing the little brothers. Not that the parents murder/attempted murder is ok because that is just HORRIBLE! But the little boys..oh it breaks my heart.
