The search intensifies for an elderly man who suffers from dementia. Pete Carreon, 81, has been missing for nearly four days. He left his home on the far south side of the county in the early morning hours of January 21st.
On Wednesday, Bexar County Sheriff Deputies searched the property in the back of his home.
There were some reports that people saw him Tuesday night on Military and Pleasanton. His wife, Esperanza, misses her husband so much.
"I am asking everybody that if they please see him to hold him there," she said. "Don't let him go, and call the police."
The family is very worried because Pete has medical issues like dementia. He has been without his meds for several days.
"Sometimes he can remember, and a second he cannot remember," she said.
On Wednesday, more than 50 deputies with Bexar County searched the wooded area behind the Carreon home.
The family received word about a lot of possible sightings, and continue to urge the public to be on the lookout. Pete has an eagle tattoo on his right arm, and was last seen wearing his favorite cap that says Korea Veteran.
Another important note, his case does not qualify for 'Silver Alert' because he didn't leave in a vehicle. Deputies urge you to call dispatch if you do spot him. That number is 210-335-6000.
