If she had medical issues this serious, I wonder if they were affecting her mentally and that's what led to the shooting. MOO

On 29 May 2025 an El Paso District Attorney informed that his office had submitted a motion to dismiss the case against Phoebe Copas who died while awaiting trial. Members of Daniel Piedra Garcia's family, the Uber driver killed by Copas, were present, and spoke at the press conference.


An autopsy determined that Phoebe Copas had died of natural causes from an obstruction in her intestines in March.
