I'm glad to know that was your Dad's ring size. I know we all feel pretty sure about the chance of this being Bambi, but I have a question, if you don't mind. It's about her teeth. They Doe's teeth are very unique. Do you feel they match Bambi's? I am sure you are right about the investigation. As soon as they have the DNA match they should be pursuing the murder case.

We know this is Bambi.I know my mother and father -in-law we're unsure only of the rings she wore but like I told them it's been 25 years since they saw Bambi last.Plus their 83 years old and their memory is hazey about things.One of the rings was her birthstone which tells me it was hers.But we do know Bambi had a 3rd nipple under her right breast,she had a burn on her forearm,Double piercied ears,contact lenses tinted blue,she wore the same pants as Jane Doe,had the same hair color,eye color,height and weight.Some other things we also confirmed with the report from the police that made us know this is Bambi.

I have got to start checking here first...I called this one in this morning.

I think she is still in DNA testing from what the TXMPCH said (Great people there, by the way.) I think from the identifiers all of us, as well as the authorities, know that this is her.
Prayers go out to the family, both for the healing that can now take place and for fast DNA results to dispel any lingering doubts.

Which is what I was referring to in my prev post where Laurie said they had *other* identifying things (which have not been released i presume)
So I would say you are probably right on the money

Another thought most hospital birth certificates stamp the babies foot prints. That could be used to speed up the identity.

Thank you for this-Paul and Lori, dentals can give you a result within hours instead of months-it is likely that the detectives have already requested Bambi's records; they may not be available. BUT, if they are, it is much, much speedier. XRAYS are best, but the records documenting work can be used as well. I believe a legal ID is DNA or Dentals or Fingerprints being matched.

We are all waiting for an ID to come. There is no birth record at home that my mother can find. As far as dental records go the dentist that I went to is long gone,my sister went to the same one as me and my brother did. But I sent them a picture that can be used for dental ID. So right now we are just waiting . Thank you all

Bambi did have a space between her 2 front teeth.She also had the same tooth missing that Jane Doe has that lateral incisior I believe it's called.Bambi was born without the same tooth.Before she went missing Bambi had seen and orthodontist so to look at closing in the gap.It wasn't that bad but she really wanted it closed up.The problem Mom doesn't remember who she saw and her family dentist is gone.Like we said we truly believe this is Bambi.The police have to have complete proof this is her.So we just wait and hope the DNA gets back sooner then 6 months.The waitng is what kills yah.You know in your heart it's her but then Paul says maybe we're wrong that she may still be out there.There are just to many things that this Jane Doe adds up to Bambi.But till I guess the DNA comes in there's always that doubt.Thank you all for continuing to care about Bambi.This is extremely hard for all of us.We don't want it to be her but then we do for then we know where she is and how well she was cared about. Hugs to all of you-I get how hard it is to wish for closure knowing how it might have ended for her. If you guys need warm bodies to look for Orthodontists who might have been in the area, let us know. We can help out with the phone calls/emails whatever.

You would have to have access to a 1983 phone book for Davenport,Iowa,and my guess it would be a orthontist in the west end of town,because that is where my family lives. I have asked for an address from my dad or mom but know ones seems to remember. Its hard for me to get information from my mother,this has been real hard for her to understand why her daugther did what she did,and is now dead,and all she doe's now is cry every time I call.As much as I have always wanted to find my sister,I now wish that maybe I should have waited until they were gone to post Bambi's picture. I think my parents have always known that she was dead,but never wanted to know. Even if this turns out to be Bambi we may never know some of the answers to our questions.I wish I could say more but I cann't,right now it's nothing but a waiting game. Paul, I feel so sorry for your entire family but I feel you did the right thing, as hard as it has been on your parents. There may be a chance to bring whoever is responsible to justice now but that same chance might not exist in the near future. Someone very dangerous may be taken off the streets and that will protect others.

Also, the newspaper articles about Bambi could lead to more identifications and recoveries. Now that it's been publicized that LE sometimes cancelled missing persons reports when the individual turned eighteen, hopefully others who reported someone missing years ago will check back and see if the case is still active.

She might have just run away from home, like so many other girls. She might have just run away to Texas and met the wrong person, like so many other girls. I know that LE will be doing their best to get to the bottom of why she ran and who murdered her. But it might not be any more complicated than that.

Could this girlfriend or the man Bambi was seen with at the concert driven Bambi to Texas? Bambi being found in Texas is NO coincidence!...imo
