Has CPS or a lawyer been contacted to file for emergency temporary custody? I feel this is something that either her parents or a sibling needs to do ASAP. Even though the father is "allegedly" not involved in the kid's life, if he files first then that may be a point of contention later on.
From several threads on here, CPS loves to keep kids with bio parents almost to the detriment of the kid sometimes.
Bank records been reviewed? Even retirement accounts etc to see if there's been any withdrawals there? Those are sometimes not as obvious as everyday accounts.
Does she have a passport and is it at her home still?
I think regardless of everything I've listed out, a private investigator would be my top priority if I were family right now. Getting the absolute best person on town and throw every resource I had at that avenue.
Maybe a G.F.M. to get a high profile investigative team? The public is usually willing to help with money for those things, but they have to be done
really quickly. Each day that goes by causes that much more loss in public interest.
Find the cost of the best person, have family set up a G.F.M., and call every news station in town to spread the word for it. Maybe even having a pic of her kid there - though that's a tough situation due to custody issues that may come up.
We had a local lady go missing maybe a year ago. Missing for about 4 weeks I think. Local law enforcement couldn't find her. A private investigator worked the case for free, gathered all the facts, organized a search team and found her on their first day out. The lady was still in the area, but somehow local law enforcement couldn't find her. There's a huge difference between someone being paid a lot and working one large case at a time and local law enforcement being paid regardless of the amount of work done per day. Not saying local law is not doing their job or that all PI's are good, just that there's a difference.
