GUILTY TX - Richard York, 45, Texarkana, 2 July 2017 *arrest*

Thank you for the updates. Any idea of the cheapest way to get fliers printed? I'll pass them out down there. $3100 might get someone to talk if they know something.
You might inquire with missing pieces network. They have a contact on their Facebook page.

Six months later, Texas man still missing after disappearing on foot

On July 4, 2017 in Texarkana, Texas, Rickey was helping Chad move furniture from a storage unit to Chad’s grandmother’s house. After helping, Rickey, 45, had plans to meet his youngest son, 21-year-old Brody.

Security cameras show Rickey and Chad at the storage unit that afternoon. Cameras also show both men leaving in the same car, with Rickey in the passenger seat.

After that, security cameras never picked up Rickey again.

T.T.P.D.*Public Information Officer* Shawn Vaughn says,"there really wasn't a reason for them to be concerned until a few or several days later after the fourth when they started to say. Well this is not like him to go this long." Detectives say*York was last seen with a relative, who he helped move furniture.

The relative says he insisted on being dropped off on the side of the road. Vaughn says, "from what I can tell looking at the reports the detectives have written at some point they ruled him out as a suspect."*

The vehicle York was reportedly last in is captured on video. Vaughn adds, "there were cameras along the path. We were able to see the vehicle moving along there, but there's not any video I'm*aware of that shows Mr. York in any of those.

The case is still open, but suspended because they are waiting for new information. There is a $3100 reward for any information on Richard York.

Hate that he was found this way.

That guy was supposed to be his best friend and was married to his sister.

body found “in a shallow grave covered in concrete and dirt" in Arkansas last week is believed to missing Texas man Richard “Rickey” York, according to police.
Authorities are waiting for DNA or dental records to officially identify the remains, but they believe the body belongs to Rickey. His family has been notified, and Rickey’s sister Angela says the news is “shocking and heartbreaking.”

Suspect charged in case of body buried under shed

In July of this year, Texarkana, Ark., police received tips that York had died at Jernigan's residence in the 4900 block of Union Road and that Jernigan concealed the corpse beneath his outdoor shed. Texarkana, Ark., detectives attempted to make contact with Jernigan at his home July 26, but he would not answer the door. Concern that Jernigan might be armed led officers to set up surveillance around the home. That night, Jernigan left his residence in his truck shortly before 10 p.m. with Texarkana, Ark., officers following.

"York died while in a two-story shed in the backyard," the affidavit states. "Jernigan said he was scared and didn't want to call the police, so he pulled the flooring up from the shed, exposing the bare earth underneath."

Jernigan allegedly told detectives he buried York under the shed, poured concrete on top of him and replaced the flooring.

Man gets 10 years for burying body under shed
TEXARKANA -- Richard York's family sobbed last week as photos of his remains, partially unearthed from beneath a backyard shed where they had been hidden for more than a year, were shown to a jury.

Chad Allen Jernigan, 42, on Feb. 26 pleaded guilty to abuse of a corpse before testimony began in his punishment-only trial before a jury of four men and eight women. Jernigan, who did not testify, received a maximum 10-year sentence, a maximum $10,000 fine and agreed to pay $1,000 in restitution to the York family for York's final expenses.
