Investigators allege the child suffered continuous trauma to the body for approximately a year.
San Antonio parents allegedly abused and killed 10-year-old adopted child

Michael, Christina’s nephew, had been living with the couple for the last six years.

“He has a number of emotional issues, cognitive impairment due to a prior brain tumor,” Hoelscher said. “He also had something called reactive attachment disorder, which can be very intense.”

Hoelscher claims Michael would often bang his head against the wall, soil himself and, at times, charge at people — including his siblings. He said five other children lived in the home, all six of them were homeschooled.

“These kids engage in self-harm, they engage in behaviors that are considered abnormal,” Hoelscher said. “Kids with severe cases of RAD almost always end up institutionalized because they require 24/7 care that is specialized.”

Investigators discovered that the boy had been confined to a laundry room in the home for about a year, where he was subjected to repeated beatings. Forensic interviews with surviving children in the household revealed that the victim was hit daily with paddles and other objects, forced to stand with his arms raised against the wall for long periods, and left in soiled conditions.

During the interview, the children told detectives that Michael would be picked up by his feet and thrown to the floor several times until he stopped moving or whining," according to the arrest report.
Horrific abuse claims in 10-year-old's death

According to the affidavit, there was evidence of multiple injuries, including broken ribs in various stages of healing, trauma to both legs, a dislocated arm, bruises on his buttocks and body and a laceration to his intestines.

Michael also showed signs of starvation and malnutrition, the affidavit stated.

right? Because those kids clearly had no problem telling the grown ups investigating this case about the abuse Michael suffered at the hands of their parents, and likely would have shared way too much with teachers about homelife and that abuse had they been registered in school MOO.
