She had only been missing since around Thanksgiving. Given that the remains were reduced to a complete skeleton, I was under the impression that they had been there longer than a month.

I felt the same way.

I've been looking for an article that has more detail because I found that strange also. But then I realized the article didn't say she was missing since Thanksgiving, just that her family knew something was wrong when she didn't show up for Thanksgiving. I actually don't know the last time someone had seen/spoken with her.

Well, I'm certainly glad the other poor woman was found, but hope springs eternal that they will find Hailey, even in a state as large as Texas.

A father and son who were in the woods shooting the boy's new BB gun spotted the bones, according to a San Antonio Police Department incident report. After digging in the dirt with a stick, they determined a skull and ribcage were human and called 911, police said.

Flores' aunt, Alice Lopez, who lives in Temple, said her niece was last seen the night before Thanksgiving, when she got into a fight with her husband and left the house to stay with a friend.

Left house according to the husband after a fight, and her body was found over a month later partially buried. I don't think that is consistent with suicide.

I doubt the husband tried very hard to report her missing either according to what the relative said. What police department wouldn't take a missing report? They might of told him he needed to wait 24 hours but I don't think they would have refused taking the report because she was an adult, especially if he told them they had a fight the night she was last seen. That should throw up a red flag that she either committed suicide or was murdered.

Lopez said Flores' husband tried to report her as missing to police but was told that he couldn't, since she's an adult and left on her own accord. He reportedly posted fliers with her picture, and other relatives had been calling acquaintances to see if anyone had seen Flores.

Had to put a face to poor Paula Flores. It was difficult to find much on her case. :(

Rest in Peace, Paula.
