Absolutely. But defending the creeps among them just because they wear a badge is not productive in addressing and dealing with a very real problem in our society. The potential creeps need to be weeded out of Academies, before they take to the streets. Not a simple solution, but the problem has to be acknowledged before anything can be done to remedy it. JMO

I agree it's not addressing the problem. It's a defensive, deflective tactic which I find is often used to shut down any discussion of police accountability. But what I want to know is where are all the good cops when the bad cops commit their crimes? IMO if they are so 'good' they wouldn't silently offer support and approval. Simply not being bad isn't good enough.

Sorry Katy, but I gotta ask ... You read this somewhere or heard it from others right? :winkaway:

LOL. HEY! I'm an old hippie, too! And I have heard the same thing, lol. JMO

Blue wall. They don't want to lose their jobs or become pariahs in their sub-culture. I understand that. I'm confident that in private conversations, they identify the creeps. JMO

If we are going to weed anyone out who is a very real problem in our society, how about the hundreds of thousands of gang bangers who kill young blacks in our cities? I see that as a much bigger problem. That is one of the reasons that cops are so aggressive. They are hired and trained to go up against cold, calculated killers. It is hard to train an 'army' to go out and take on a dangerous group of gangsters, and at the same time, weed out the cops with an attitude. They kind of have to have an attitude to voluntarily want to take on the bloods/crips and M13.

This is a common argument I hear. Basically what it says to me is , "don't worry about the good guys being bad, worry about the bad guys being bad."
Of course the criminal element needs to be weeded out. But the average law abiding citizen needs to be able to trust LE. Rightly or wrongly that trust is being lost. Yes I believe MSM is pushing that agenda for some reason.

The few bad cops make the many good ones look bad, because most of us don't understand why the good ones can't condemn the actions of the few. JMO

An edible may have been in a napkin or paper towel that no one thought about at the time.

Why would she need liquid if she was quickly trying to hide the evidence to stay out of jail? Brownies/cookies made with pot are extremely tasty.

Not the taste. Dry food without liquid. For me, I like liquid with dry food

I dont think it is possible while incarcerated. She would have been thoroughly searched. But she had time while he was writing the ticket, running her name. She probably was afraid he was going to search her car, since she had so many pending unpaid fines. So she grabbed the edible and ate it quickly. JMO

She would have to stuff because she would have no idea when he is coming, stuff and swallow? Whatever
