GUILTY TX - Sarah Walker, 40, stabbed to death in McKinney model home, 8 July 2006

This is kinda bugging me....if the watch were so big why and how could she be wearing it?

It's strange she'd be wearing such an expensive watch but it was so big on her. It could have easily been fitted correctly when she got it IMO and spending that much money you would expect and want it to be fitting correctly.
I'm wondering if the killer could have been a teen now that they're saying it was someone not able to overpower her easily.

read over this last night, but didn't take time to post.....

OK, is Mr Tate saying that his & Sarah's son was with Sarah, when she purchased the watch???.....ya know, that would make sense, i guess, since their son spent that Friday night w/her....seems a little odd that he didn't mention that before though.......hmmm, just wondering why he would, out of the blue, email Greta w/that info....

wouldn't you think LE has already had the video 'zoomed' in, on her at the bank??...(that video was from a bank, right?)....anyway, looks like they could zoom in enough to see if the watch was literally hanging off her wrist....

hope i've read all of this 'new' info correctly..correct me, if i seem confused, lol.....i just got home from work, & closing arguments was on in the March case...
..i missed it...(well, caught 10 minutes, ugh)...have been in a tizzy with the case..it's finally going to come to a close.....hope Sarah's case doesn't take 10 years... :(

Good Morning,

Close_Enough, I had almost the same thoughts as you.

So we know she bought these things for herself because her son was with her. I hadn't heard about the 2 1/2" knife blade before, but it makes sense and so we know the perp brought the weapon with to the house.

I think it is the fashionable thing to wear watches loose around the wrist like this. In the early 90's it became a fad with those gorgeous watches with the great big chain that hung loose and settle down on the hand a bit. I always wanted one!

It's been so long since I saw the hubby, but I remember him as being somewhat chunky, don't you? And I don't know if a woman would carry a small knife on her person. I carry one on my keychain that is a little purple Swiss Army knife and has a 1 1/2" blade. Even if it was the regular size SA knife where the blade would be about 2 1/2", if would be hard to use as a weapon unless it was off the keychain. And I don't think one would put a regular sized knife on a keychain. So I don't think a woman would carry this just out of the blue.

A man would, don't you think? A little spray can of Mace would be a lot easier for a woman to carry and use for defense.

I'm not sure what the big deal is on a "loose" watch... I don't know about a fashion statement, but I wear my watch loose for comfort. I don't like something tight on my wrist, "strangling" it, so my watch dangles loosely on my wrist.

Is there suppose to be a significance about a loose watch?

For me it was significant because of the demonstration the ex did on his own wrist to show how loose it was. His right hand was about two to three inches below his left wrist in his demonstration. I don't see how a person could keep a watch on that was that loose but I have limited experience in fashion. I too keep my band a tad loose but only a fingerbreadths loose from my wrist not dangling a couple of inches...so it would appear to me that it would just slip right off over her wrist. dunno

I wonder if her ex-husband was ever seen carrying a small pocket knife. Many men carry them to clean their fingernails with and maybe to use as an occasional screwdriver when one isn't handy.

I've been an avid reader for some time now and just recently joined. One thing that really stood out and I haven't seen anyone mention is that her cell phone was left in her vehicle. Everyone I know has their cell phone attached to some part of their body at all times. They can change the volume to vibrate during a business transaction. Even if she had access to a company phone inside the house she would have had her phone on for any incoming personal calls and could check for messages. Sounds to me like she knew or recognized the person and just tossed the phone down......

Oh Happy Day!

This is wonderful news, hey, even to know the police dept is alive and well and not falling asleep on the job. LOL Shades of Salt Lake City.

So I want to know more, like who saw this oriental guy - possibly the couple who looked at the home saw this guy take off in a new Mustang. Now that I know they have a sketch I'm sure they will get lots of tips.

ETA: Ruby June, Welcome to our wonderful site! That is interesting about the phone, and am wondering if she had another load to get out of her car and was interrupted. All alone in that house, it doesn't make sense she would not have her cellie right there on the counter, right?

Welcome RubyJune. I often forget my cellphone in my car. I arrive at my office, grab my purse and briefcase and sometimes my phone is left behind. So, i suppose it could have been left by mistake.

I just found this article posted on the internet by KRLD radio station. I find it interesting that another car has now surfaced. I can't understand why they waited so long to divulge the existence of these two vehicles. People could have been looking for them all this time had they been aware that they were at the crime scene the day the murder happened.

Person of interest in Sarah Anne Walker case

In McKinney, where Sarah Anne Walker was found so brutally murdered last month, the police department this afternoon released a composite sketch of a "person of interest."

Witnesses have told police they saw an Asian man in the neighborhood about the time of the murder. The man was driving a newer-model white Ford Mustang. McKinney Police want to talk to the man. They say might be able to provide further information as a possible witness.

Police say another vehicle was also seen in the area around the time of the murder. This one is described as gold or champagne-colored GM SUV. It apparently was parked across the street from the model home in which Walker was murdered.

Police are hoping the individuals could provide more information.

If you have any information, call Detective Diana Tilton 972-547-2727.

Realtors are instinctive about the house in question. Notice everything in about 90 seconds and questions come from that.None are trained to look for or inquisitive about peripheral cars or people. It is expected on a construction site to see odd vehicles or people.

They just found a realtor and he must be mortified.

Concerned...what do you mean...they just found a realtor? I can't get the above link to work right. Was a realtor driving the gold SUV?
