Wow! If I am not mistaken there are a lot of missing people around that area. Grady Benson from OK comes to mind recently. Several young people from years ago.

According to Deputy Joyner, once the scene is clear the body will be sent to the University of North Texas’ Anthropology lab to find out the person’s identity, and figure out what happened to them.

Edited to include the MSM source

@nannymo Yes! The young people who have been missing for years came to mind when the news broke.
Apparently the remains have been there for awhile.
The first link I shared says near TDCJ Allred Prison but that's quite a bit away from the Peterson Rd and Hwy 287 actual location they were found in.

I found this interesting in that article also:

Texas Game Wardens came in with their drones. They’re mapping the area trying to make sure they pick up everything that’s out there. In addition, they brought in some tracking dogs to help with the search for any more possible skeletal remains,” Deputy Joyner said.

I don't believe I have heard of a case where the Game Wardens are involved in human remains discovery. Just interesting to me...

Travis Wilson
There isn't much publicity on his disappearance sadly.

Grady Benson's disappearance is hard to fathom what happened. But aren't they all.

Wichita County Sheriff David Duke said investigators completed another search of the 10-acre property off Peterson Road amid the continued search of the remains of an unidentified person.
[...]
According to Duke, the dogs indicated numerous areas where remains might be, and those areas were combed over and dug up. So far, officials have located the skull, jawbone, parts of the pelvis and some smaller bones.

The remains are possibly those of a 40 to 60-year-old white man.

[...]
Duke said they do not believe there was foul play and believed he was a transient that wandered off into the wooded area.
