Found Deceased TX - Scott Mayer, 47, San Antonio, 2 May 2018

Not only just the state park, but there are places along the river that would be accessible too I would think. Community parks, etc. Then heading toward Boerne all kinds of lightly traveled roads... wish I didn't have to work tomorrow or I would go help search
I too have been leaning towards the possible suicide scenario. Not sure how true it is about the location of the ping, if so, the state park is a couple of miles from that area. Surely they have checked that area, L.E.

This just sounds so much like Timothy Cunningham to me. I finally watched the video interview with the brother. He talks about how the family is so "scared" and how "this is so out of character" for Scott. He also says the text to the wife just said, "Hey..." and then he didn't say anything more in the interview. It really gives me the impression that there is something really important in that text.

He also mentions "the trials and tribulations of life", and talks about how Scott is a "focused and very religious man".

At this point, I'm leaning towards voluntary disappearance with probable suicide. Of course, there is the possibility of an accident, but since the family won't reveal the contents of the last text to Scott's wife, I think that's where the biggest clue lies.

I agree about the probable suicide. So often families don’t want to reveal anything that points in that direction out of respect for their loved one and hoping they’re wrong. People will stop searching if they think it’s suicide. Leanne Beardon comes to mind, also in TX. Such a sad case. It sometimes seems that people with so much talent and so much to live for have trouble with life’s curve balls. At least that’s usually been true in the suicide cases I’ve followed. :(

I too am working, I was hoping to go help as well. If they are still searching Friday or Saturday, I will be out there with my atv. If they need or allow it....

I agree. I don't know what I would say to my loved one if they and their car disappeared, but if I thought someone had caused them harm, I think I might plead with the person who took them to return them. If I thought they had a car accident, I think I would say something like, "We love you and we are looking for you. Stay strong. We're trying to find you" or something similar.

In the FB video linked upthread, the brother says, "Scott, we love you so much and we want you home and we will take care of whatever you need us to take care of. But the whole family, and especially Missy and your girls, need you and want you back."

Yeah,I agree. I would definitely be out begging for people to help me search from day 1 if I thought it was an accident. That situation is very time sensitive. If I thought he had been carjacked, I would beg people to release him or drop him off. I have no clue what that last text says but, maybe they have been as quiet as they have because they do want help finding him but maybe they have an idea it isn't as time sensitive at this point.

The court stuff that was found, the delinquent tax stuff, if indeed it is him in both situations...could have pushed him over the edge. We aren't privy to his personal life so we can't know where his head was exactly. I do know the area of the ping is very wooded, acres of ranches, a river, a state park and factoring in him missing baseball practice that evening, which is said to be extremely out of character....it worries me. If true that a fellow teacher seen him leaving the school that afternoon...who did he go see? He works at two schools, one of which his wife works at as well. I could go on forever but did he find something out about his wife or relationship. Did he go to the school to talk to his wife? Did the text come after That? Did they have a disagreement? Was it even him on that day at the school or is the teacher mistaken and she seen him leaving a totally different day , unrelated...

That was my thought too, possible suicide. If the text were innocuous, "I'll be home after practice, see you at seven", they would have at least alluded to the content. I hate these cases, so hard to watch a family suffer.

Not 100% positive these are him but maybe others can check into it too. Not sure if relevant at all.

From what I can tell it seems he and his buddy/business partner are being sued for something with their business. I found them both listed as League Directors here...

And this confirms they are business partners...

I could certainly be incorrect about the litigation because the legal jargon is confusing but this is what I believe to be the case. I think the "DEMAND AND REQUEST FOR DISCLOSURES" may be a formal request to disclose assets.

Welcome to Websleuths!

Are you saying his name or picture was there recently and is now gone?

Regardless of anything he may have done, I am hoping he is found so that his family can get their answers.

When you do a google search for name, his Northeast ISD staff info comes up but when you go the school website, he is no longer listed in the staff directory.

Absolutely I don't think anyone would argue about that. That's #1. We are merely trying to brainstorm why he is missing and where he could be. If he had stressors in his life...that might be a reason to self-harm. If there was evidence of drug use or unscrupulous business endeavors (certainly not saying this applies in this case...just an example), we may see a reason to speculate foul play.

Everyone wants him to find his way home and for his family to get answers.

And he reportedly was seen leaving work the day he went missing at about 2. If he lost his job, was delinquent in taxes and his business was being sued..I think I know how this ends. Hope I'm wrong though.

I am a former NEISD employee. Scott is an Instructional Technology specialist for the district. This means he floats between a couple of schools and will not be listed in a specific campus directory but is currently listed on the NEISD Instructional Technology staff page.

Hi, does anyone know what the lawsuit involves? I see it involves Mccallister Little League. Could there be missing money? So little information being released. Wouldn't the PD ping his phone?

That baseball organization he runs is big business. Over 300 kids that pay $2,000-$2500 each to participate. Also earns income from running tournaments. Loss school job unlikely reason for self harm.
