MISSING: Sherry Noppe, 63, Katy Texas (5/3/2022)

63-year-old Sherry Noppe of Katy, Texas was last seen the afternoon of May 3, 2022, near the 1800 block of Sparrows Ridge. Sherry went out to walk her dog and has not been seen or heard from since. Sherry has dementia and may be confused and disoriented. It is believed Sherry is in the company of her dog, a black Lab. If you see Sherry or her dog at or near George Bush Park or surrounding areas, please contact authorities immediately. Sherry is approx. 5’ 7” tall and weighs approx. 115 lbs. It is unknown what clothes Sherry was wearing at the time of his disappearance. I don't know, but area she was last seen is surrounded by expanses of water and parkland.

Texas EquuSearch launched an operation at George Bush Park to find a missing Katy woman who was last seen Tuesday afternoon when she went out to walk her black Labrador retriever.

According to the noted nonprofit search group, 63-year-old Sherry Noppe has not been seen or heard from since about 2:20 p.m. when she left the 1800 block of Sparrows Ridge.

Noppe may be very confused and disoriented, the group said, adding that her canine is believed to be still accompanying her.

The operation has drawn support from multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Harris County Precinct 5 Constable's Office, which mentioned that the search is in the western portion of the sprawling park.

Noppe is described as about 5 feet 7 inches tall and about 115 pounds. Texas EquuSearch could not give an exact description of what she was last seen wearing, but home surveillance cameras may have picked her up. The constable's office posted photos of a woman and a dark-colored dog midstride.

Sherry Noppe, the 63-year-old grandmother who has been at the center of an intense search since earlier this week, was found safe on Friday morning, Harris County Precinct 5 said.

According to officials, she was found at about 3 a.m. "by a group of tireless volunteers and deputies who were alerted by the sound of her dog, Max, barking in the woods."
