ABC News reports that there were other detainees in the van aside from the three that were shot, and officials said ICE agents and ATF officials ran back into the gunfire to bring the rest of the detainees to safety inside the building.

The official said that agents on the scene who rushed into the gunfire to bring the detainees to safety, "likely saved more lives."

For kids today, to have logged ~17,000 hours playing games on Steam is nothing. It’s an online gaming platform where you download and play games, so it tracks everything you’ve done on your account. He’s at least had that account since 2012 per the NY Post article posted previously (that was the year his gamer buddy group was formed, so he may have had it before that).

What the article fails to mention but is shown clearly in the second photo in the quoted post, is that in the past two weeks, he only played games on steam for 3.6 hours total. That is weird. Were shooting games no longer of great interest to him, contrary to the article? If I did the math right, appx. 17,000 hours over 13 (at minimum) years would be 3 hours per day. So why recently was it only three hours in 14 days, especially if he was currently unemployed as the article states? Odd.
I suspect he was finalizing his plans to attack ICE, tracking ICE movements with an app on his phone. Maybe real life killing was overtaking his video game obsession in his head. IMO

Good catch, @Emerald1328 .
Hmm.

Well I am wondering if he needed to spend time loading, aiming and firing that rifle ?
Because he'd have to be familiar with it to carry out an evil plan.
Spent time at the shooting range ?
Meet with other gamers in real life ?
What else ?
Imo.

Good thought, that’s quite possible.

I am not surprised at all. Most people get into LE to help people and make a difference in their communities. I feel they would say they were just doing their job. I think how the media reports on ICE does make a difference in how the public views them. If these agents didn't care at all about those they were transporting, then they wouldn't have ran into gunfire to save them. IMO

Has there been any updates on how those who were injured are doing?

Not just the media, but anyone with an audience.

Was he actually tracking ICE or just looking for an app to do that? It seems unlikely ICE allowed the public to make that kind of app. He obviously did learn where their local office is located and probably staked it out, watching and waiting for an opportunity.

I assume that anyone who is consumed by hatred against government, or other unrelated party, is mentally ill.

That's simply not normal.
Agreed.
It's possible that J. Jahn consumed too much anti-gov't. rhetoric online, though, in his gaming world.
Like minds feed on each other.
Outside of social media did the shooter only communicate with other (incel ?) types online and that was it ?
We need to be a good example and be supportive towards law enforcement and behave in a law abiding, responsible manner as adults.
Young minds need good, healthy guidance.

Haven't read anything criminal-wise about the rest of Joshua's family and it sounds like he was a loner and unlike the rest of them.
Which is sad as he could have chosen a better path in life and imo he was not without means to choose life and better goals.
It has to be so difficult for his family to mourn his passing in such a manner as he has dealt on them.
Imo.

Re. the black bolded : The best part of this sad case.
I am encouraged by the selflessness of their and many other law enforcement's actions.
The media, fbi, and others have been fairly transparent through all of this and it's been more information given out than I would've expected, but there's nothing wrong with being open and above board.

Re. the red bolded : I've been perusing msm and haven't found anything yet.
Hope that means good news.

The shooting began at about 6:30 a.m. and bullets
“sprayed the length of the building, the windows and law enforcement vans that were in the sally port area,” of the ICE facility, Nancy Larson, acting US attorney for the Northern District of Texas, said.

Wow, here I was thinking he'd aimed at only one van or bus !
Thankful even more people weren't injured or killed.
My .02.

The detainees who were shot in the attack on the Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in Dallas this week have been identified as Miguel Angel Garcia-Hernandez of Mexico, Jose Andres Bordones-Molina of Venezuela, and Norlan Guzman-Fuentes, according to a source familiar with the matter.
Miguel Ángel was shot in the side, back, stomach, and neck, the latter being "the one that hurt him the most," according to his brother.
"They want to disconnect him because the machine is the only thing keeping him alive," Fernando revealed during the interview.

A little more information about the wounded detainees, at the link.
Doesn't look good for Miguel. :(

Omo.

At about 0:46 in the first video, ICE officers are seen running out to the vans, taking and carrying out the wounded, while the shooting was still happening. 😢
