If you've:
1. Visited CCoC, seen where the campers probably park, and the far perpendicular corner, behind a cement wall, where SP probably parked and came in.
2. Driven the hill(s) of the parking lot, weaving between spring-time brush.
3. Been in a TX rainstorm, at O-dark-30.
Realize this was all going on. There's a very good chance you would not have noticed, unless you knew something was going on and were looking for it (and that was not the case). Their lights were probably off.
Even if someone did see something, the chance of getting more of a description than "a car, in the dark, hundreds of feet away, driving away from me." are slim.

This might not have happened but is very plausible.

How large is CCOC parking lot? In the pics, it looks like it has a very large extended parking lot and there is a large field or open area between two parking areas? I've never checked on the attendance of this church but it has a very large parking area. That may explain the golf cart not as a convenience but a necessity for people having to park at the extended part to the south-looks like a hike from your vehicle to the church!

Golf carts at churches are pretty commonplace these days. The parking lot doesn't have to be huge. One church local to me in my small city is a remodeled Wal-Mart (not a SuperCenter, but an older, smaller one). It doesn't have a huge parking lot. They use a golf cart for older folks, families with small kids, or anyone else who wants to ride.

Was she obsessed with her looks and body, and self absorbed? Personally, I do not agree with that assessment... I believe she found a passion for health and fitness and wanted to help others achieve their goals. I think her husband did not share her passion, which may have caused some conflict in the marriage.

My post you responded to was addressing possible motives for the murder. I do not think that MB was obsessed with her looks and body, I was pointing out that the person who murdered could have been thinking along those lines.

Thanks for clarifying.. I agree that the SP could be thinking along those lines as well. Motivated by jealousy...

Not big in number of spaces (200-300?) but the lot circles the building and then jaunts out in places (looks like they were following the topography to minimize dirt movement.) That's why you'll see those two "fingers" sticking out. Each is 30-40 spaces long so you're about 300 feet from the building.

SP could easily have parked out behind one of the bushes in one of those "fingers" and not be seen. It might be a little tricky getting out (there's one entrance/exit); a spotter/accomplice would allow you to leave when no one's coming in. Or if they were out of there by 4:45, people aren't coming much yet.

And no one knows anything is wrong yet, so most people aren't looking for anything. They're just looking down the driveway to where they're going to park.

Here is the raw NBC Dallas Ft Worth video of the CC church taken on the April 18th, 12.31pm. It gives a good dimensional impression of the church and the surrounding area/parking space:

It also shows the crime scene tape, by the way.

I've seen no mention of this anywhere, so it's a "just wondering" thing. I wonder if the perp had tried unsuccessfully to murder Missy before really doing it. Might (s)he have tried something at the gym and that's why Missy acted unlike herself there before she died? Or had someone stalked her there to see how feasible it would be? Please remind me, did she stop going to her gym shortly before the murder?

I ask this because this was the scenario in a couple of cases shown on Dateline and/or 48 Hours. In one case (I don't remember the names), a husband hired a local woman to befriend and then kill his wife. The hired killer had failed at making the wife overdose, so a few days or weeks later she lured her to a remote spot and shot her. The husband was out of town, ostensibly on a business trip, and had receipts to prove his whereabouts.

In another case, a man killed his wife himself and claimed it was an accident. A few months before, she had narrowly escaped a falling beam at a cabin and her family (or the show) wondered if that had been his first attempt.

I'm not saying Missy's husband had to have been involved as was the case in these other two murders, but that whoever the perp was might have tried earlier.

Snipped. For future reference if you ever need to block a camera, Silly String works well. You can easily coat the lens while standing comfortably on the ground. With spray paint, you need to be within six inches or so from the lens to actually coat it and wet paint drips, making it hard to coat the lens thoroughly. It is pretty difficult to reach a properly installed security camera without a ladder. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk

^bbmGood to know. I've read some novels in which bad guys use whipped cream or shaving cream on lens.

I'm not sure she totally stopped the gym but the guy that worked at gym said that she seemed different ...I think... the last 3 weeks. I'm sure her best friend would know if anything strange had happened to MB earlier and hopefully told police.

Has anyone seen/read the SW Nancy Grace references in her latest podcast? Sounds as if the alleged affairs were named.

Where can I locate Nancy Grace podcast, TIA

I was hoping there would be an arrest, but still praying for justice for Missy and her girls! I admire Missy for getting passion for a healthy body. Missy and I share the same age and it took me forever to get my body back after having kids. I am reminded of this case daily when I see fitness groups outside of the grocery store looking for ppl to sign up. The one thing that I do feel strongly about , JMO, but the perp did not like Missy for whatever their personal motive was. Really sad that a talented and loving mother was taken away so soon for someone else's personal gain.

Yes, she just stopped going to the gym, which everyone said was very odd. Here is a segment from the Nancy Grace show where they speak with the gym owner:

"NANCY GRACE: Now, let me understand this, Justin. Missy goes to this gym practically every day for three straight years. But suddenly, she quits cold turkey two weeks before she is murdered. Do I have my facts straight?

JUSTIN FREIMAN, NANCY GRACE PRODUCER: You do. And they also say she was acting a bit differently the weeks prior to her murder.

NANCY GRACE: You know, when you`re with somebody every day for three years, you get to know them. And she was extremely dedicated, right, Justin? I mean, she didn`t go in and hop on the treadmill for 25 minutes and cut out. She did the weights. She talked to the owner. She became friends with the owner. She was a fixture in this gym. But with no explanation, she quits cold turkey. She acts very unusual. And then she`s murdered. What about it, Justin?

JUSTIN FREIMAN: That`s right. And she is dedicated to fitness, so it does seem odd that a gym that she`s going to so often, she just stopped going.

NANCY GRACE: Joining me right now is the owner of the gym. Mr. Garcia, what was your reaction when you learned she had been murdered?

MARC GARCIA, GYM MANAGER: Nancy, I was distraught. I mean, I immediately started crying. And my initial reaction was to think that it wasn`t true. I started praying. I was praying to God that it was all just a horrible rumor. And I called Missy, I texted her, I Facebook messaged her. I didn`t hear anything. And then the rumors just kept coming in, and then finally, someone says, yes, it was Missy and -- and I was just heartbroken."

<snip>

"NANCY GRACE: But let`s look at this. This gym she went to religiously day and night every day, practically, for three straight years -- I mean, Robyn, it leads one to speculate, was there something or someone at that gym? I`m not talking about the owner that has joined us and spoken very openly. I`m talking about some other guy there, some gym rat there. She didn`t want to go there anymore. Something was making her uncomfortable. Something made her not want to go back anymore. Then she`s dead. It leads me to speculate and question, was there someone disturbing her through this gym, either somebody else that went there, somebody that was following her, somebody that kept hitting on her, somebody that got too familiar with her?"

I remember reading about some guy who would hit CCTVs that read license plates for red light violations with wasp spray. It would blur the image so bad they couldn't read the plates, thus no tickets. So they ended up getting a CCTV that had a little wiper that would clean it whenever it would get blurred.

I like your ideas of whipped cream or shaving cream better than silly string just because it would be much harder to track down from local stores. I would think someone would remember a guy who came in buying a dozen cans of Silly String.

Ah, but I wonder whether anyone would remember a woman buying a dozen cans of Silly String, especially if she was also buying balloons, paper plates, cups, party favors... Not suggesting SP was a woman, just chiming in.

I personally have been sitting on the fence so long, my tuchus is numb.

re my earlier post re covering surv cam lens to (try to) prevent LE from ID'ing perps.

^sbm As noted, shaving cream & whipped cream idea came from novels; IDK if either would work well (no field testing by me). Seems like after ~30min. at room temp ~65-75F, the whipped cream would melt and run down off the lens. W exterior surv cams, in warm weather could melt even sooner.

From info below about Silly String coverage, a single can would cover lots of lenses and propel far enough to reach cams waaaaaay up, as far as 20.' A dozen cans may not be necessary, if a couple would do. Regardless of number of cans bought, likely to be captured on that store's surv cams. As always, JM2cts.

"The pressure in the can propels the mixture a distance of up to 20 feet....The can is advertised to contain "over 400 feet of string". One measurement has shown over 1600 feet[SUP][2][/SUP]. For a 3.5 oz can, this equals 200 milligrams per meter." bbm sbm http://www.thefullwiki.org/SillyString

Is this something she does daily? The podcasts or are they just random?
