TX TX - Terri 'Missy' Bevers, 45, killed in church/suspect in SWAT gear, Midlothian, 18 Apr 2016 #49

IF the SP is really a woman and is slimmer than you think - which woman would it be? Wouldn't be a pregnant woman probably. Do we have a female suspect, who was relatively slim at the time?

What I thought to be very strange, it's pouring rain outside and we see no signs of water falling off her swat gear. If she changed inside the church there would be some dead skin cells where she changed clothes or near missys body. Dead skin always falls off our bodies. It's actually gross to see how much.

Another, I believe the woman knew Missy had a gun. She wore the gear encase she had the gun and shot back. But why did missy not go and grab her gun from the truck? I wish they would show the other video footage.

I know they said she heard something and quickly moved her head. I personally think someone called her name. (a woman's voice) She recognized the voice. Seeing the rest of the videos might bring more hope to solving the case.

People close to missy suspect it's a female. I personally believe the police know the woman's name, but don't have enough evidence to convict. Waiting on the one piece to appear. ;;;;;;;

I know without a doubt the killer reads these forums. When your kids grow up they will hear theories about you and eventually realize their moms a murderer. We won't let this go away. What will your kids think of you.
Unfortunately, we don't have any more footage to see.

I have the feeling the full footage would be 10x as more polarizing for speculators.

I believe its a possibility for sure.

I have wondered if Missy was not fighting back as hard on this person, not wanting to hurt them but trying to stop them and calm them down.

This murdering rapist cop caught my attention as one of his crimes was a rape in a church . He is from Gateway Arkansas (6 hours away) and was active during the Missy Bevers timeline. He is also escaped from prison.

Interesting however he appears to be over 6'. Swatperp isn't that tall, around 5'8" max.

Could he have been slouching? The perps gait has always been center of attention.

Periodically reminded of this case when I am in crowded events and people watching. I've always thought SP was female cosplaying, but recently saw 2 different young men law enforcement who walked exactly like SP. Fit, muscular, but unexpected proportions and that distinct toe-out foot stance and unusual walk. I am leaning towards "rejected LE candidate" now.
Hope her loved ones get answers soon.

The Sutherland Springs Church shooter in the same state a year later wore tactical gear too. I'm trying to find out what his height was to see if he could have been Missy's killer.

What is that at 1:50? Is it emitting light or reflecting it? Weapon or cellphone?

Didn't try all the doors. No urgency. Looks like Bart the Mall Cop doing a half-hearted night patrol. That it ends in a frenzied murder, it's incongruent.

I still can't make sense of it.

This footage always gives me the chills. It's the stuff of horror movies: darkened church. masked killer. innocent bystander.

I still think the gait is due to a broken ankle. The way the suspect moves is similar to how I move around on my [now healed] broken ankle. Even the cautious tapping of the hallway wall is something I'll do to steady myself.

Find that broken ankle and you'll find the killer JMO

EDIT

The "wall tapping" I mentioned is seen at the very beginning of this version:

Was anyone online able to figure out the size of boots based on the video? It might help determine whether it was more likely a male or female. Of course they may have worn boots too big for them but if the boot size is really small than we know they are either a female or a man with very small feet. That could help to narrow down the search for the suspect.

How much do you know about the case?

A broken ankle on someone potentially invoked has been heavily discussed.

I see people walk like that all of the time since becoming aware of this case and that walk.

Distinctive? Yes.

Unusual? I do not think so.

Does anyone have a floor plan of this church again? Important to me: all the doors. I want to look at it re. certain possibilities. Thanks in advance! :)

I've been working my way through this video and it's extremely thorough. You can easily jump to the areas of interest. There is lots of map discussion as well as routes of the perp and camera position/activity.

Over the many years since this awful murder happened, there has been a ton of helpful info provided in these threads. But if you have not been here very long, we have had many tens of thousands of WS posts, so wading through them all to try to find something from the past is almost impossible at this point.

The video by Tom Webster in the post above is a GREAT summary video that has tons to wade through. Thanks anne mc for sharing that.

Here are 2 other EXTREMELY HELPFUL resource sites, for anyone looking to do a deep dive on the details at this point. These don't wade into the speculative finger-pointing like some, but just offer and explore lots of facts to examine on your own, if you wish. They each have compiled a lot of info in one place. Both are highly recommended.

1 WEBSLEUTHS MEDIA PAGE …on p 10, a synopsis with links to WS-given data, early media videos, etc, post 196 by 7niki3. Of interest to some (since this question still arises from time to time) should be the inclusion of a video showing how we know the killing was by handgun, which also notes a gun being found (which turned out to be MB's, but at first LE thought could be The Gun, showing she was shot), and LE's early chase (which is often overlooked, but very informative) to try to find any suspicious sale of gun or ammo just prior to the murder.

2 GUMSHOE STORIES You Tube channel - "Gumshoe" (Tim Covill) is a former WS'er who focused on trying to unravel the MB mystery and killer identity. He did massive research over the first 5 years, visited the scene, took pics and videos, obtained and researched related government documents, lots of interviews, and examined some of the various issues that have arisen in online questions over the years. Very helpful, lot of videos produced to try to examine facts that are known, and very little speculative stuff.

I know enough to have seen the church videos as well as the surveillance footage at the store nearby.

I don't know of any potential suspects and haven't seen interviews with anyone who may be of interest.

I do believe that person in the church video has a [healing] broken ankle. I've limped that limp and tapped walls like that to feel secure as I've gimped around.

I was also thinking possibly an injury or defect of the hip and/or pelvis.
