I still can’t believe this is unsolved.
I know- it is hard to believe with the killer on video-- but this is one of many which remarkably remain unsolved- the police like to say there is no perfect crime- I beg to differI still can’t believe this is unsolved.
Well it does appear as though the perp was just wandering around the building in the dark in the video. So it’s definitely a possibility.I once discussed this case with a friend of mine who pastored a church in Texas. His instinctive feeling was that this was random, unplanned, and committed by someone loosely affiliated with the church. He explained to me that every church he's ever been at has attracted "outcasts" of some sort - often, these are people who are mentally ill or struggling with addiction, but completely harmless; they are drawn to the compassion and friendship that they can find at a church. In fact, many churches have ministries that specifically cater to the homeless, addicts, etc.
However, every once in a while, someone may start coming to church who causes problems and has to be asked to leave. Typically, it's because they're harassing or threatening female churchgoers, but theft can also be an issue. He also said that on more than one occasion, someone has broken into or otherwise gained access to the church after hours, but not with the intention of stealing anything - seemingly just to wander around the building in the dark, giving the staff a serious fright when they arrive first thing in the morning.
Anyway, based on his experience, he theorized that someone who had been coming to the church recently decided to break in one morning, maybe to steal something, but probably just to wander around, and was caught off-guard by Missy's arrival and responded with violence.
I have a different theory about the crime, personally, but I thought his was worth sharing since it's somewhat unique.
I think it’s highly likely they were checking rooms to see where Missy would be setting up.Well it does appear as though the perp was just wandering around the building in the dark in the video. So it’s definitely a possibility.
That seems to be a very good idea!I agree with whoever said at this point, with so many years gone by, it is time for MPD to come off some of their evidence and release more to the public. IMO, if they truly had the evidence needed to prove who killed Missy but they're missing one tiny bit needed to make the arrest , they're are not going to find it. Worldwide Websleuths have worked this crime from every angle possible with what has been released thus far. Something is amiss with the MPD that they are protecting. Tell me what they could tell the public that would absolutely ruin their investigation and the indictment of the killer? Why haven't they turned this investigation over to the Texas Rangers Cold Case Squad? Why haven't they turned to Kelly Seigler and the Cold Justice team of experienced investigators that each has their own specialty in solving homicides no one else could? What is it they are holding on to so closely that the entire force is willing to let her murder forever stay unsolved? It's very selfish and foolish for the MPD to do IMO. Is there any demonstration, peaceful protest, marches or putting pressure on higher up government officials or agencies that a mass of people could gather together and force their hands after this long?
Edited to change the word matches to matches by me. Oh goodness gracious. Spell check changed matches to matches in my edit!!
bbmI think it’s highly likely they were checking rooms to see where Missy would be setting up.
We only get a small and random bit of the footage though so it’s almost impossible to tell
This could have been part of staging it to appear like a robbery or vandalism.bbm
No need to crash windows, if only looking for a place, where Missy would be setting up. And how to find this place early in the morning, before Missy even had arrived? MOO
