I need all you couch PIs (in my case, bed PI) to help me think of LE strategy on this one.

All of those names in search warrants released have children. That means a lot of lives are affected by the release of these documents today, especially in a small town. LE could have easily sealed them or blacked out the names, which they did not. I just feel like there's some reasoning behind why they chose to show everything in full. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

possibly to see who might flee or possibly they have taps on their phones & hope it will spur conversation?

Let me see if I can find the video for ya. I looked earlier but it wasn't up yet. brb.

This is a good video, maybe it is the same one.

"What they're looking for is that one tip from the public that somebody said something, they know something that will tie this all together," Schulte said. "I think they'll get it solved it's just a matter of when."

Schulte anticipates more warrants in the coming days for Bevers' Facebook and Twitter accounts, and even Tolltag data. Police will also determine whether she had life insurance.

It's all part of a wide net investigators are casting in their search for a suspect and motive.

So what constitutes a " "creepy and strange" message?

"Search warrants released Thursday in the Missy Bevers murder case reveal she was facing financial difficulty, marital discord and had received a "creepy and strange" message from an unknown man on LinkedIn."

For instance-would 'creepy' mean the writer suggested they know Missy's location at a certain time?

I am looking for the link now but I read about 30 minutes ago that all 7 of these people have been cleared and they are now looking at several other P.O.I.s.

I agree, it seems unnecessary to me too. It did keep us all looking in that direction all day, and possibly away from who they are really looking at. JMO

CT is very intelligent. She has an undergrad from SMU and an MBA from Dallas Baptist. She and AJ were high school sweethearts at Arlington Bowie and she worked in the executive world. Just one year ago, she left her career as a Budget Analyst at an aircraft company where she worked 9 years. Her fourth was born 9 months ago. She is currently the treasurer of the PTA in her children's school district. My uncle knows her parents and they are great people, a wonderful family. AJ was a sergeant in the Army and spent four years serving our country. That's why this entire thing is so difficult. Even CW is connected to people I know and he has a lovely, amazing wife. Everyone I know thinks highly of him. He served our country. It's all so difficult.

And someone asked about the other couple listed. I'm not certain, but I think one of them might have been the camper first to arrive that day. The gentleman teaches spin class in town. They are both really into fitness. The people connected to Missy that I know did not recognize their name.

Sorry, I totally messed that up about her going to SMU for her MBA. :blushing: Still.....SMU is an amazing school to get your undergrad!! Funny that she went to Bowie. I would have gone to high school there had we not moved right after my last year in junior high.

I can't imagine how difficult it must be for all of y'all in Midlo and for the ones that have been named that didn't have anything to do with Missy's murder! I hope LE has this figured out and plans to make an arrest soon. I can imagine that things are very tense there wondering what's going to happen or what information is going to come out next.

Thank you Breck for all of the insight into what's going on there.

Well they still haven't posted it but a local Prosecutor spoke about the case and said he thought the MPD may be giving away to much info because they don't have a POI (named suspect). There was more but I can't recall. Maybe texasgirl2 can chime in cause I know she watched it too. I am on major information overload with all the news and posts today and at this point in the evening (tired) I don't want to say something that is wrong.

And two cell phones per warrant. Unless I misunderstood. I'm late to this having only arrived at this thread (yikes! #10!) I guess some people do have more than one, but I don't know any. Is one of his strictly for business and the other is for personal?

I do. I like to turn my business phone on silent during my personal time because I'm self-employed and would never get a break otherwise. Plus it's easier to claim the cell phone and bill as a business expense when it's a separate phone.

Yes & I stated why we thought it was them from the start. If you are asking bc I posted that CT came from a great family, my thoughts don't change on that. She can still be highly intelligent and come from a great family, but commit a crime. Lord knows we've seen astronauts and doctors and politicians driven to do crazy things when it comes to love.

Thanks for your response....and yep, it's so true....good people are sometimes "driven" to do the unthinkable.

Aside from family, LE may have asked for those phones voluntarily and were denied by thier owners. Thus the warrant with exposed names.

Several cases last few years where a woman has cut a baby out of a pregnant woman, can't get much more brutal than that.

Lonetraveler, that's right. I was thinking the same thing. Don't put anything past a female. Look at the female Lion...

But wouldn't LE still need warrants for phone history?

Some people (not you) seem to be suggesting that both tuckers are involved, which makes no sense to me if she killed MB out of jealousy. Why would he join in on killing his lover just b/c his wife was mad?

It doesn't make any sense but neither does brutally murdering someone your husband had an affair with. I mean, most people in that situation get couples counseling, maybe get divorced . . . they don't murder the other woman with a hammer. So we're not dealing with reasonable or logical here in either hypothetical scenario. Also, the Heather Elvis case comes to mind. That's at least one situation where a married couple (allegedly- they haven't been convicted yet unfortunately) killed the young girl the husband had an affair with.

Pete Schulte is one of the very, very best defense attorneys in North Texas & his sources in Ellis County are top notch. I served on a jury for a murder in Ellis County (crime happened in another town) a few years back. He was the defense attorney & the woman was found not guilty. So any thing he says, I'll read deeper into it because he's always a step ahead of everyone bc he just knows things from his connections. He's former LE, too, then switched to law.

I find this maneuver by police pretty curious. I am not sure of TX law: Are all warrants in the public domain?
If I was an innocent party I would be furious that my name was floating around for all and sundry to see and use to poke around in my life. Surely not all 9 named people are responsible for the murder...so releasing 9 names in documents smacks a bit of desperation. I think LE are shaking a tree to see which leaves fall.
(As an aside, it is kind of freaky to me that there are two people in the (very large) frame that have been identified as having a similar walk...what are the chances?!? Maybe if the perp is as smart as some people give credit, they taped their foot with a thorn embedded!)

Yes, but it you make it difficult for them, they can make it difficult for you. If you have nothing to hide, turn over the phone.

Anyone remember the Texas Cadet murder? I know it's College kids but look what they did.

I was never a believer in the "interrupted burglary" theory, but what new information do we have that really dispels that possibility? I mean, it looks like the police are looking at family connections, business colleagues, and romantic relationships, but it doesn't look like any of those trails are bearing fruit.
