At that Press Conf when the shirt search warrant was released. I wonder if the MPD told BB that was going to be release or if Media contacted him? He says that they were waiting inside for them (media). Went on to say that they didnt know if MPD would talk about it and they were there to put out flames. The link I posted, I posted because it was on a new station and said they were live and time shows up on there. 6:14 pm so that told me it was well after the court house closed ;) so I thinking Media contacted BB.Probably blowing up his phone.

Also he said then (April 27) he had only done 1 formal interview. They per search warrants also did an extraction of his phone. As well as CW. phone. It is law if the search warrant is executed they have to give copy to the clerk to record for public viewing. But I havent seen if there is a time frame on that.

Dry Cleaner was fast, Shirt at Dry Cleaner early that morning, Affidavit/Warrant same date 840pm signed, Notarized on 27th and Filed same date.

But MB Cell phone was diff story ;) and for good reason... I remb seeing on the truck search warrant April 18, they had 3 days to execute
Affidavit 4/19, executed 4/20 and 4/21 SW filed and BB was seen at MPD picking up the truck.

4/20... Date that MB phone warrant executed.... same day the Feds came in..... not sure what has to do with what though

If the perp knew her every move and exact schedule, looks like he/she would have picked a time when BB, and even RB would be in town to cast more of a doubt on those closest to her with a motive. Odd that the perp would choose a time when those with a motive would be out of state. MOO

Re Batbrat's post:

The upper-to-lower body ratio alone tells me the subject is male.

Also agree with this 'ratio' aspect (and stated as such in the early threads). For an average-height person, the stride is long, also making me think 'male.' Not to mention the strength needed to completely remove the panic hardware on the exterior metal door.

Since there seems to be a lot of talk about the suspect being male or female again, I was wondering if anyone watched this YouTube video? There is one part around 19 minutes in that he discusses the overhead lighting on the suspect's bottom that indicates possibly a woman. Any thoughts to that?

Here is the link:

I am new so if posting this outside video source is not allowed, mods please delete.

Familiar female

He was her friend yesterday and I just checked right now and he is not listed from what I can see. Her friend count is at 1855 right now

Noticed the same early this morning. Missy's friends were at 1861 when we started. Now down to 1855. No CW. So it's not a glitch.

IMO it was done on purpose to protect them.

The 'creepy message' TIMING is most suspect to me. She might have flirted with CW, but IMO that's all it was. Just messaging. I rule him out, but that's JMO.

So....Missy used LinkedIn with her business associates & networking. She has over 500 friends on there. Once again, only someone tied to her professionally or through the fitness world would know that most likely. If they wanted to scare her they could message on FB or elsewhere. They CHOSE LinkedIn to creep her out. It was significant enough that LE didn't dismiss it among the 100s of things friends probably told them during this investigation. They didn't tell us the content of that message, yet they found it significant enough to add in the warrant. They even mentioned it again on another page & their point was loud and clear.

April 15 - husband has outpatient surgery. Could he have sent it? Of course. But I'm sticking with my locals around town, who, just this morning, we all discussed this case yet again.

We all suspected family initially, and dissected it many, many, mannnny times...but as I've shared on here numerous times, we knew things to broaden our search and look elsewhere. I still don't rule out anyone, but by looking past BB & RB, it was pretty glaring what was happening. As most of you know, on the ground we sometimes have a different set of eyes & I do think it's all going to make sense very soon.

One more thing (MOO)...My alleged perp is the very last person I wanted it to be. I wanted it to be family. That would make more sense. I wanted it to be a burglar or stalker bc that makes sense, too. I didn't want to believe evil like this could exist. I still don't want to. So this isn't one of those or trying to make my theory fit. I just feel like it repeatedly goes back to this one person & whomever could have helped her out.

Respectfully snipped.

Well, darn it Breck! Now you've got me thinking again....;)

And I mean that lovingly!! I'm back to my notebook looking over everything I have again! :findinglink:

I would love to know your opinion about whether or not you think LE is close to making an arrest!?

Anyway...back to the LinkedIn...the message arrives, according to warrants, three days before her murder." What happened 3 days before? She was leaving for her trip to Austin. That is not a coincidence. It's not a coincidence that the perp chose LinkedIn to creep her out. The friend probably didn't remember the name bc I bet it was a general Bob Smith-type-name with a random job listed, no photo or profile filled it. Otherwise, as women...and especially as two female women...we would've Internet stalked that person to figure out who the heck this creep was.

The murderer wanted her to be scared and suffer before she left for Austin. If this is the case, ask yourself WHY?

Then 3 days later they wanted her to be scared and suffer again out of rage and jealousy...as they took a beautiful mom from her 3 children.

They could have shot or killed her at home, in her driveway, since everyone has plenty of land out here. They could have followed her along desolate FM 1387 on the way to work to ram her off the road, get out & kill her there.

No. They chose the very place that's tied to fitness. Where they knew about the cameras. What time people would arrive. When it was raining. They didn't shoot her in the parking lot. They thrived on the hunt and then took time to bludgeon her with tools. On her chest and head. The chest means Missy was likely looking up & this person wanted Missy to see her eyes and hate.

If this doesn't point to a woman, I don't know what else does. But...JMO.

LEO verified thru Phone Extraction with Casey Williams phone and with Extraction with MB phone that they had been having intimate communication since Jan 2016 up until her death. So no he is not JMHO out as a suspect. Very big reason being the time frame LEO got search warrant.

I'm reading between the lines and see who you are alluding to, but if it is really that simple why are there so many agencies involved? And what about the seemingly familiarity the perp has with all those tools/pockets? Just playing devils advocate here. I think your perp seems the most logical choice but I'm not sure why you need all these agencies and still no arrest 3 weeks later....I could go either way, female perp and it's who you are saying or hired hit (professional or acquaintance). Thanks for your posts. I think the locals here offer an invaluable perspective.

I feel like BB and grandpa B genuinely talk to cameras cuz they want to keep this in the press to help police arrest the killer.

I feel grandma B (not step grandama...) knows and is talking to a woman (boots too big for ya) who's a mother (when police come for you Sounds like Missy's head and upper chest were smashed with that big hammer. when i put 2 plus 2 my guess is this woman killer is someone who takes great pride and pains and care with her own appearance.

i don't think the killer was dumb enuf to bring her fone along

since its a woman seems so thoroughly planned - killer looks so relaxed and confident - killer had to have stalked Missy and knew all Missy's habits down to how often she flossed her teeth and when - i am thinkin this way

Unless something happened that the murderer just couldn't get over and they went into a rage....they might have been so incredibly angry that they didn't think about anything else other than revenge. And they knew that MB showed up to that particular location by herself at a certain time.

Exactly. I don't think it's as innocent as many posters are assuming, otherwise it would not have been mentioned by LE, IMO. A LE friend of mine said "flirtatious and familiar" could mean anything from "you looked hot today", to sexting and exchanging photos. The fact that it was mentioned at all led my friend to think it was more than innocent flattery.

Just trying to catch up. Had to clean my carpets, my Basset Hound had 12 teeth pulled two weeks ago and it looked like a crime scene here. Thank goodness for Oxy Clean.

My feeling is that there were affairs on both sides, the search warrant said as much. BB may have even done it first and she followed with an attempt to get back at him. Speculation JMO. Either way she is gone now and so we will probably never know.

I sure hope the press has enough decency not to ask him about the affairs when his children are with him. They are innocent victims!!

Their phone numbers are labelled in the warrant “Target Numbers.” The nine people include Missy Bevers and her husband Brandon. His two cell numbers are listed. Also included are Missy’s father-in law, Randy Bevers, and her mother-in-law Vicki Bevers.

The remaining five appear to be family friends. They include a man who said he knows Missy through their mutual involvement in the Camp Gladiator fitness program. His wife’s number was also listed. Another man whose name appeared said his daughter was close friends with one of Missy’s daughters. His wife’s number was also listed.

Those who spoke to CBS11 all said they had no idea why they were included and that they had not had any communication with Missy in the days before her death. The warrant seeks any information about incoming and and outgoing calls… as well as text messages, e-mails, and data on the phone.

MIDLOTHIAN (CBS11 NEWS) – Police sources have told CBS11 they are relying heavily on the New York Police Department, and its high-tech tracking devices, to help them solve the murder of a popular fitness instructor.

Experts with the NYPD were brought in to help analyze the “pings” from cell towers, in hopes of finding the “electronic footprint” of Missy Bevers’ killer in the early hours of April 18.
They said no one is better at doing that than the NYPD. They have been known to use sophisticated tracking devices called “Stingrays.” According to the American Civil Liberties Union, since 2008 the NYPD has used the technology in about 1000 cases.

The cell site simulators mimic cell towers

“[A phone] will automatically connect to the Stingray without any control from the user. It mines data off the phone, very quickly,” said Pete Schulte, former police officer and criminal defense attorney.

Schulte says if investigators do in fact use the cell site simulators, he believes they’d focus of the church where the mystery person in tactical gear attacked Missy, and the Bevers’ neighborhood.

“If someone keeps coming back to the crime scene, which happens a lot in murder cases, they are going to be able to identify the person because of the data coming from the Stingray,” said Schulte.

The Stingray device, according to a New York Post article earlier this year, gathers telephone numbers from neighborhoods by mimicking a cell tower, allowing it to identify unique subscriber numbers. It’s not known if this the exact technology being used in Midlothian.

Interesting observation, to be sure. Ramming or running someone off the road is a much more difficult feat than one might think. It would likely leave all sorts of evidence in its wake. Vehicle parts, vehicle damage, potential witnesses, etc. And none of that would guarantee a death. Certainly not a clean one. Shooting is cleaner, but gun evidence is traceable. So are hired killers, etc.

I completely agree with you about the emotion involved. This person had some rage or anger towards the victim. This was personal. As I stated in an earlier post, I feel the murderer felt he was on a mission. He believed he had a right and a duty to punish his victim for perceived transgressions.

IF they use a wire tape they can get those search warrants sealed ;)
