What if the perp was on drugs? Prescription, legal or not, or otherwise. That would make the nonchalant body language and the way of walking down the halls (finger on the wall) make sense.

Postpartum depression is really horrible. One could ask for help from meds from their doctors. Meds don't always work the way you want and can have nasty side effects (exacerbating negative thoughts and feelings). Some meds that may be rx'd could be to calm someone down and relax (for ex. xanax). Postpartum psychosis is pp depression plus psychotic features. Hormones can really suck sometimes. Mix in depression +/- psychosis + 2 kids and a baby + husband out of town with potentially his mistress + meds = this could be a recipe for disaster.

If a female who has children committed this crime, how do you suppose she was able to leave her home that time of morning without her husband or children being aware of her absence? I know this has been discussed. It just has my brain stuck.

It's possible that kiddos spent the night at grandma's...

To all the new members unsure of the rules think about this, say a person is accused of a terrible crime and their lives picked apart online and then they are found innocent but the info remains there forever for their children and family to view.

Yeah, me too. Because if a woman with children did this, her motive probably included protecting her children, right? But then she - what - left them unattended for 1-2 hours? All the other pieces seem to pretty much fit except that.

Yeah the truck thing really rubs me the wrong way, esp. him driving it so soon after, and driving it to her funeral.

Maybe he feels closer to her in it? MOO

Certainly possible. But I keep thinking if a woman is so calculating as to plan and carry out this murder, she would surely know that the kids being away would be a dead give-away for the police.

IIRC, that female's husband was a trainer at another 5am class, so she could've slipped out of the house right after him. And/or she could've been a camper herself so had a "reason" to be up and out the door early in the morning. But, yeah, it is a sticking point to figure out how a spouse and parent could leave home so early without being noticed.

To leave kids home alone is also a sticking point.

The person really had to want to be at the church, it seems. Really bad.

Some kids and babies sleep solid through the night, others might need a little help with benedryl. Sometimes older kids are able to care for the younger ones. In this day and age too, staying in touch with the older kids is so easy.

My original line of thinking on this crime was that it was a male, and an interrupted robbery. I've never bought into the idea that this was something BB or RB were in on.

With the release of the second letter from MIL, this really throws out any possibility for the hit man scenario, at least in my mind, along with the robbery gone bad idea.

At this point, I am mostly on board with the theory most locals seem to have (CT). The only thing(s) preventing me from being completely on board is 1- understanding how she got out of the house without AT knowing (because I don't believe he's behind this), and 2- understanding how she could leave 4 kids at home alone in the middle of the night! I think most likely her husband had already left the home and the kids were probably left asleep.

actually I think his class that morning was at 4:45am and his class was in Waxahachie and AT and CT live in Mansfield (about 1/2 hr drive,) so he probably left early

Aha. I did not know that.

That's a good detail.

Folks, let's not rush to judgment here. I see a lot of fingers pointed here, with little real evidence, beyond hunches and hinkey meters. Try to imagine that you're Missy's daughter when you post something, as she could be reading these speculations about her dad, or uncle, or whomever. This isn't just a game of Clue --there are real people affected by every theory you submit.

Rushing to judgment and misreading a situation always hurts real people (online or real life).

A quick run for milk? Partners in crime?

No doubt. I think the MIL *thinks* she knows as well. Time will tell I suppose. I do believe LE knows who swatperp is and also that the letter was given the green light to be released to the media. The MIL would not release a letter (IMO) that would do anything to hinder the investigation. So, it's MOO that she got permission first and the timing and language used is not coincidental.

I agree with this 100% I think the person responsible is privately raging at the fact that many people suspect they murdered Missy. I believe the killer felt they were justified in what they did and are most likely seething at the thought that many now see them as the monster they are, and not the victim. I think this person is likely still manipulating those around them into believing they didn't do this. I think LE knows this about the killers personality/profile, and the wording in the letter from the MIL highlights this.

Wasn't it also his very first class for CG? Or at least first official class? If so, he may have been up early and out the door to make sure he was ready in time. If he was nervous/excited to start his first session of CG, and therefore out the door early, it could also explain why the perp was at the church for over a half hour. For some reason, I have always felt that the perp wasn't quite sure what time Missy would arrive so they made sure they were there before her. After that, it was just killing time. JMO

Okay Arkansas Mimi. How's this for continued theorizing minus the carpet. Prehaps Swatperp put baggies over his/her boots after entering the sancutary, took them off after the deed was done, stuffed them into that ridiculous vest and left no bootprints. 😨 just speculating dramatically again. This^^ I think that box was saran wrap that the perp wrapped on boots so no tracks left after murder.

Whatever the case, the couple was in the habit of waking up very early...so at least that part wouldn't stand out as strange on any particular day.
