You say one person is an exact match due to Batbrat's "study"? I just did a cursory Google Search "30 year old woman bad posture" and tons of pics come up of the "exact" stance that the perp (and RB) have.

Yeah, that photographic 'analysis', well meaning as it was, really has no evidentiary value. Well, I take that back -- it does provide evidence of just how strong 'confirmation bias' is among some folks.

People start out with an assumption and interpret things in such a way to validate their own assumption -- even when the basis for doing so is incredibly weak. It's like 'tunnel vision'. It's human nature, unfortunately, and it's something that professional investigators have to deal with.

Yes. Since Day 3 (locally) many of us did. It had nothing to do with what we found online. It was actually someone innocent & close to Missy who had a gut instinct on this person from the start. Many of us locally knew this. So many scenarios were on the table, but IMO everything on the ground started coming together. The trash & LE at certain CG camps also came together. Plus some other things outside this forum that's allowed. I believe in the end it'll be a complex, fascinating set of circumstances that ultimately led LE to find the missing pieces. And as I've said all along, I hope this person is NOT the perp bc 7 total children will forever be affected by this senseless murder.

Thank you for your input. :)

Hold up. I thought some parent picked kids up from school that day after the word got out. So Wouldn't ct kids have school as well. Idk
Someone posted earlier that Mansfield kids had off Monday. So if kids go to public school they had off.

I can't deal with the constant accusations against AT and CT despite mods saying that's not appropriate as no one has been named a suspect. The WS rules seem to have been abolished for the Missy Bevers' threads. Gonna have to step out on this one for now.

Some of the people named in the SW publically post. I understand that the TOS allow observations to be made based on these public postings. I think. Not accusations, but observations. Maybe I'm wrong.

There is a lot to be gleamed about motive, means, and opportunity based on these public pages which people choose to put out there. I'm personally stunned about how far one can delve into the mindset of people from these pages - not just from their timelines and friends, but from their "likes" as well. They agreed to public postings just like they agreed to MSM interviews.

Texas is still reeling from the murder-for-hire case of Dr Kendra Hatcher but there was a lot of motive, means, and opportunity to be gleamed from public postings on SM. I think observations about public postings of people named in the SW are helpful.

Is there a diagram of the church somewhere?

There is a lot of confirmation bias in these threads. People think it's a man, so they look at the video and look for the aspects of the perp that confirm the idea it's a man. Or vice versa for a woman perp.
I still can't say for sure because if I look for things about the perp that are "man-like" or "woman-like" I can find things that can confirm both. Not to mention the fact that not every woman 'walks like a woman' and same for a man. Stereotyping can be very misleading.

Maybe off-topic, but when my daughter doesn't have school the next day because of a holiday, I will let her stay up late so that she will sleep-in the next morning instead of being up bright and early at 6am.

And I believe it was a mix of the two.
I also believe that suspect brought some tools with them and also found and used tools from the church. Suspect needed at least one tool to break into the church.

Well I've been a websleuther for quite a number of years. But every time I try to wield any authority concerning my wonderful detective prowess, I end up looking like an idiot. So...that being said, I more or less think the perp is a man. When I see all the gear that person has on, it baffles me as to who would have the physical strength to take on someone like Missy, who was in peak physical condition. Of course, the perp most likely caught her off guard...but still, it would take some strength, with a hammer, to kill someone like Missy. I am thinking a man who had a height advantage might be our perp.

Also, I have seen this time and time again....but husbands who are gone when their wives are murdered are very suspicious by nature, at least to me. Seriously. How likely is it that you would be gone fishing on the very early morning your wife gets killed in church? This sounds like a Lifetime movie, not real life.

I would love to see a profile of this murderer. A violent, close up, blunt force murder like this automatically leads us to believe it was someone very close to the victim. The rage involved might make us think of a woman...a jealous woman. Or a desperate man who needs money.

The entire family is a mystery to me, Lord love them because I know they are victims. But the interviews that last on and on, the letter writing, and the FIL's laughter while at the dry cleaners gives me an eery vibe. But heck, I'm suspicious of the rain. So take it with a grain of salt.

And oh yeah...the walk of the perp. Everyone is mentioning the feet. But look at those arms. The way the upper body moves...and the arms swinging like they do. I don't know any women who have that kind of upper body movement at all. It almost looks like an older man. But heck, what do I know.

After 5 days and countless hours of reading all these threads and trying to catch up, this is it. This is all I have. I know...it makes you sad, doesn't it? I'm not much of a sleuth after all.

I agree with your whole post. You are spot on when you say the family is a mystery. They really do seem like a strange bunch. And I have really tried to get behind the female line of thinking and I just keep going back to older man. I know that seems ridiculous to some, but the gait and arm swing and sort of stooped back reminds me of an older man.

Watching video again at 1.5x speed, I'm pretty much positive the walk/limp is fake. At times more weight is on right leg, then at times more on the other. Then normal walking. The limp isn't apparent until after perp sees camera at 1:03.

I was surprised when I was told that people knew this from day 3 and I didn't really believe it but hearing this from you I guess it's true

It was really, really early on. I still kept going back to other people and theorizing, but I couldn't help but just keep finding ways I couldn't rule her out. Some other WSers (not local) sleuthed her early, too. So when the RB blood warrants with the search came out, for me personally, I viewed it as tactic by LE. The focus stayed on family. I know there are some new people on here in the last few days who might not believe us, but I promise, we did discuss her before the search warrants were released. I don't recall any of us knowing CW or KC & wife. And then again, we could all be completely wrong!! Lol

From Tricia about speculation.

*Speculation is allowed if it involves someone who has been named in the mainstream media and you can logically put this person at the scene of the crime or can suggest they were somehow involved. Speculation has to be based on some semblance of fact. In other words, you can’t speculate that the dry cleaning people killed Missy. The police have confirmed they believe Missy was targeted. That’s a good place to start.

*Speculation does not mean you can sleuth any of these people. Their lives have been turned upside down and the last thing they want to see is something personal and embarrassing posted on Websleuths for the world to see. No Sleuthing aka no digging into their backgrounds and posting what you find.

Would a chiropractor be good at faking a strange gait? Or possibly they injured themselves while breaking in?

I also wonder what order the released video is in.

I just try to think MOTIVE,MEANS and OPPORTUNITY. We can speculate about all, but some things fit and some do not. JMO

This has been brought up before, but according to LE's released timeline, the perp was not seen on video again at the church following the murder.

Respectfully, I don't think they have said that exactly. From the April 18th Press Conference, they chose their words carefully. JMHO
Male Reporter : did suspect stay around

Captain Spann: we believe he left shortly after the assault ... don't have any indication went into any other rooms after the assault. still piecing together the video

Female Reporter : is he seen fleeing? is he seen after the assault?

Captain Spann :again we see him walking down one of the hallways, but presumably he went out the same way came in, speculation on our part but he broke window reached in and opened the door. there are 2nd and 3rd windows broken but no evidence that anyone went through them

I also wonder what order the released video is in.

I suspect that the one of the perp coming out of the kitchen and breaking the glass is first chronologically (even though it was released last). I'm not sure about the order of the other two...

Wow I can definitely make out the shape, as well as part of the structure of the nose!

yep and just to clarify - I manipulated the photo so many times - the skin color is not the actual skin color of the killer

If nothing else LE's name dump this week has contributed to our speedy chalking-up of 13 threads!

I, too, feel a little anxious about the unbridled sleuthing into the lives those named... but then I was already a bit uncomfortable when the usual WS 'non-POI sleuthing ban' was lifted earlier in this case. It certainly generates discussion but at what cost? I know some people are blissfully aware that WS exists and are probably going about their lives oblivious to the fact that their every social media move is being dissected... but by the way some people immediately tighten up their security/privacy settings I think what is mused about here must come as a rude shock.

Another cautionary note re SM: What we see is not necessarily the full picture. Many people have their friends sorted in to "Acquaintances", "Family", "Professional" etc and can post accordingly to certain audiences. All we can see, unless we have been 'friended' is those posts that a person has set to public. For some players, it seems that all posts are public...but we can not possibly know. All this just to say that the AJTs and CTs of the world may have made some statements about the event to a restricted audience of close acquaintances and later added a selfie for the world (including professional contacts) to see.
