NG is suggesting she has been told there was cleanup after the killing. Have we heard this before?

We heard something vague along those lines

I guess that would be due to daylight savings as I'm in the area we just say central time.

I sure hope they corrected it on the warrant. If they didn't their info will be one hour off.

I asked this yesterday when the debate over the timeframe was going on and got no response. So, I will ask again.

In the talk BB and RB had with the reporters in front of the dry cleaners, RB insists he dropped off two shirts with blood on them! The reporters jumped on that like crazy! BB excused himself and went inside, leaving RB to fend for himself. Someone showed the receipt and it is marked with only one shirt with blood.

The reporters then start firing questions about the dog. Now they want to see pictures of it. RB was a bit taken back with how to answer this and said "we'll see". Odd answer for a beloved pet that died recently in a dog fight.

Did RB slip up ion answering he brought two shirts in when from has been acknowledged by LE, the dry cleaners and the receipt, there was only one?

Come to think of it, when did this dog fight occur? RB and wife had been to CA. Did dog go with them? Did dog fight occur when they got back and the same day Missy was murdered? Perhaps LE needs to check into the story on the dog fight and the dog dying?

Thoughts and comments on the one shirt actually taken and now RB insists there were 2? This just doesn't match up IMO.

I don't think it was odd at all. My spouse and I would never answer anybody's question for each other without consulting with each other. I was taken aback by those questions, too.

When asked if he carried a pic of the dog, he said no. Not all pet lovers carry pics. I don't, DH doesn't, we don't even carry pics of each other, no pics of kids, my parents never carried pics of us, either. None of our friends carry pics of beloved pets - it's just not done by everyone - I know some people do, we don't. We have loads o' pics at home, on wall, on refrig, computers, same with pics of each other.

I didn't catch that about there being one shirt on the receipt. It's a discrepancy, but no doubt LE has checked it out. It's curious though....

When reporter then asked if his wife carried pics of the dog, he said yes or probably, but when reporter asked if she would submit a pic to the media, he said hesitated (as I would because it was just so doggone odd of a request) and said "we'll see" or something like that. I would never think to answer for my spouse, to me it didn't seem odd at all. I do think he was taken aback at that person's persistence with getting a picture of the dog. That guy sounded like a jerk to me in a "gee, I know your dog died in a terrible, bloody way, but PROVE YOU EVEN HAD A DOG" kind-of-way. Who gives a ff about seeing a pic of their dog in a professional and legitimate article about the murder of Missy Bevers? I don't.

RB was fine. He said he had no problem with LE doing whatever they need to do including investigating him. He said he expected no less and if they didn't investigate him, they wouldn't be doing their job. I'm paraphrasing, but to me, he seemed almost amused at the way the questions went toward the end. :)

A lot of older people walk that way because of "old parts". I don't think it was a fresh injury.

Agree. I'm a little skeptical of a broken bone two years ago still causing a limp. I've had countless friends and family break ankles and even legs, and not one still has a permanent limp years later. I would think that, in MOST cases, only if it wasn't attended to properly that that would happen. That walk definitely reminds me of the walk an old guy gets.

I happens in every single case where we don't have anything new to discuss. A break is a good idea. It looks like many are doing the same.

Shirtgate
Tools/Weapons
Saran Wrap
Hit or not a hit?
Reviewing the video 39843984 times and seeing things that aren't there. :giggle: (artifacts)
Cleared or not cleared?
Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

:gaah:

Yep. I have decided that I have nothing reasonable, factual, new, or interesting to say.

Everyone seems to be a viable suspect based on the info we have from LE. Maybe it was a giant conspiracy involving all of Ellis County.

I think the above is so interesting. If we could figure out what the killer was doing with all those doors, I think we would have a much better sense of the case. These are the reasons I can think of for opening all those doors / breaking things. Please chime in with others:
1. As mentioned above, removing ways for MB to escape or hide
2. Staging a robbery
3. Looking for something - perhaps the area with the fitness equipment or a weapon like a kitchen knife
4. Making sure no one else was in the building
5. Bored, waiting without a phone (possibly), killing time
6. Looking for something to steal
7. Trying to get a sense of the building and where to confront MB (perhaps not able to break into the door killer knew she would open with her key)

Other ideas?

All above JMO

Looking for AV / camera room.
Making sure he will see any cars arrive (headlights) through all rooms, esp office-type rooms where the door blocks the window.

I actually think s/he was working up to the murder. Psyching up for it, warming up. I'm not quite sure how to word it. In the video where the perp seems to be smashing glass or drywall perhaps, I think ARKANSASmimi said there was some kind of religious item hanging on the wall or a picture maybe. Anyway, the killer seems to hack away pretty vigorously at it. Hard to think about...

^*The above is just my opinion!

It does seem at least somewhat personal (to me). In my own take on it, Missy's murder could be both personal and a hit. Though I wouldn't characterize it as what you might see in a hardened, professional-style hit. And because it seemed to take place relatively quickly, within the first 10 minutes of Missy's arrival, I'm tending to think this was not torture or thrill kill. My guess would be he first immobilized her (possibly using gun or stun gun), then beat and stabbed her with the tool(s).
A "hit" usually involves someone killing someone at the request of another person who wants the person killed. Person carrying out the "hit" is usually compensated in some way. This situation could be where the person arranging for the murder shares a mutual desire with the "hit" man/woman to see the victim dead. Of course it could be a scorned woman out to seek revenge against a woman for having an affair with her husband. It could also be a woman intent on eliminating her lover's wife. And then again could be family just trying to help a man get rid of a problematic wife. Or a business rival.
Such a smorgasbord of possibilities.

I really don't think that's the case. Just doesn't seem realistic IMO... if he were working up to it, why use a crowbar and try to open random doors? And calmly open other doors? Doesn't make sense imo

IMO just because certain self defense gear isn't shown in someone's picture doesn't mean that the items shown in the picture are the ONLY gear owned. There could be boxes of old or unused tactical/self defense training items at someone's house. Especially if the owner decides it's not the quality or style that's most effective to teach a class but doesn't want to discard items that they could use in a future class or even for Halloween or just because they feel it's wasteful to get rid of it after they purchased it. JMO....

The killer isn't wearing self defense gear. He's wearing a tactical vest and riot helmet that are designed to resemble police tactical/riot gear. More than likely they are airsoft/paintball gear rather than the genuine article.

Speaking of this....Wasn't there a poster here a few threads back who was going to get into her hubby's "gear" and make a video of her walk for us? Does anyone else remember this?
That was me! I was going to wear my hockey shorts and husband's shoes and record my walk. Unfortunately not even an hour later I slipped on a lego and broke my tibia :/

Great points. If indeed killer was lying in wait for MB, wouldn't he or she be concerned about making all that noise with the doors, hacking doors and windows? That part confuses me. Or maybe this occurred way before he or she thought MB would be arriving. Or maybe they weren't waiting for her at all and were indeed stealing / vandalizing. All JMO

I don't think it's a limp. I think her normal gait is with both feet out. And she just so happened to have had a broken ankle couple yrs ago too.

This seems kind of surprising to me. The timeline didn't seem to leave much time for cleanup.

Interesting possibility. What about the noise factor?

In the Mansion Murders case the perp(s) stole the security camera DVR so no footage exists of what went on and around the house, except by what is obtained by neighboring cameras. There was also an attempt to burn the house down, but it failed. If the house had successfully burned down it would have taken basically everything incriminating with it. What they were able to obtain was DNA off a pizza crust, which would have been burnt to nothing if the arson plan had succeeded.

I think that case is apples and oranges to this one. A home security system does not = a commercial security system. The DVR for a commercial grade security system would normally be inside a tamper resistant lock box, and only the person responsible for the system would have the key. It would also likely be concealed in a secret location that only a few people would know about. The recordings might even be kept at an off site location, such as a security system office..

Also I believe the mansion murders were in the house for 20 hours. This guy didn’t have 20 hours to disable the security system.

Well, he definitely slipped up, but I haven't been able to figure out why. It makes ZERO sense why LE would only take ONE shirt and leave the other at the dry cleaner. You could tell he knew he messed up when he was saying it. I just have no clue what it means.

Yes. We heard it from her. Where does she get her info?

Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear that. Hope you are feeling better. :loveyou:
