ATF accelerant sniffing dogs are often brought in as a precautions to clear high traffic buildings in violent crimes particularly if there is no immediately recognizable cause. Keep in mind this was early on and in today's terroristic environment this is common. They wouldn't want to give an all clear and then have hundreds of innocent lives be destroyed a week later. They were co side ring a wide range of possibilities, coupled with the unusual dress of suspect. They likely considered the perp was wearing for protection initially.

Respectfully, I think that comment was referring to when LE tells us who the killer is, or at least tells us the sex of person in the video. Revealing the sex (not gender).

Sex and gender are the same thing in common usage. We use "gender" now I guess because "sex" sounds suggestive. If you fill out a form it will often say "sex" M or F.

Gender reveal parties are where a pregnant woman reveals the gender/sex of her unborn child. I believe this is what the poster was asking about, since someone posted a link to a facebook video of pregnant CT cutting a cake surrounded by her family.

I don't think this actually matters at all, and it has no bearing on the outcome of the case. But the phrase is definitely reserved for pregnant women.

Would a female be more likely to shoot a person rather than possibly bludgeon. I just don't feel as though a woman, especially one with a weaker limb(ankle) would want an up close and personal confrontation. If they just wanted her dead, why not just shoot her? It screams true passion to me to kill in this way.

LE is under no obligation to give up their strategic advantages, so just because LE doesn't publicly mention something, it doesn't mean we know the cause of death based on what has been publicly released, especially when LE is still withholding the COD.

It doesn't stand the test of reason. The id'ed the tool left at the scene as being the cause of puncture wounds. Or rather " CONSISTENT WITH". THERE WILL BE NO GUN. JMO

Good. I cannot believe that every single person in this cast of characters didn't lock down to the most private settings as soon as this happened/their names were released in connection. They would have saved themselves from having every minute aspect of their life examined and speculated about. Agree. If a friend loses money for a paid trip with a buddy due to having to come back the next morning because of his friends wife was murdered; You would think they be somewhat vocal. Jmo.

Thanks completely FALSE. There were both direct flights and indirect flights available. Just Google Biloxi to Dallas and you will see all the possibilities. Search for a flight early in the morning and you can quickly book for the SAME DAY. It's not rocket science. Also short flights from New Orleans every hour or more to Dallas. New Orleans is 1.5 hours from Biloxi.

There's more to the equation than simply getting onto a flight with an empty seat. I'm not sure what time he was first notified, but say it was 5:30 or 6 am, then I don't see flight options that save much time to get back to Midlothian (if any at all).

The first day I read the story, my immediate thought was, "So here's a lady playing blasting music outside at 5 am on a regular basis. Neighbor got PO'd, told her to turn it down, she said no, that's her business. And he/she got so sick of it, they went over in a rage, sleep deprived and took his/her hammer or tool along and ended up killing her. And walked home, with no one suspecting." I made lots of wrong assumptions (churches are often in res areas).

But now that everything really is back on the table, is there any scenario similar to that possible?

That's exactly right. The dog fight likely happened, but maybe the murder shirt was taken in as well.

It doesn't take 8 weeks to decipher human vs animal dna when you have the feds involved from week 1.

Now a back burner case with a small town pd would take long.

But a high media case involving the feds, rangers, atf, local pd plus nypd and whomever else would not take that long. Jmo.

I hope that AT and CT have spoken with investigators and pleaded with them to PLEASE exonerate them from anything to do with this crime publicly, so that if they are innocent victims of scrutiny, they may find some peace. The longer this goes on, the more suspicious I am, and I imagine, other people are. Maybe they have. Maybe LE isn't ready to do that. They need an attorney!!!!!!.....either way. JMO

I was thinking, what if someone just doesn't have access to a gun?

I think there is, like I think a gun was used (why I think the ATF accelerant sniffing K9 was used) and that the gun is LE-connected, like perhaps being one of the 'destoyed' Sheriff's guns that the Texas Rangers have been trying to track down.

I travel a ton and in this scenario, I would have taken a car (guaranteed arrival, keep in contact with, friend/relative is with me, drive right to my home). Air travel is too unreliable (esp in TX in the spring) in a MUST GET THERE scenario, I grab a car and drive. I'm not calculating and exploring and optimizing
options. I'd drop this line of thinking.
