So it would appear she was indeed killed/ambushed inside the SW foyer doors.

Which explains, then, why her attack was not on camera (cameras only in hallways).

If in fact it is the case she was attached at those entry/exit doors, I would question why they wouldn't just come out and say that instead of the whole SW corner/area nonsense. Sheesh, thank goodness the Texas Rangers are involved or I would seriously have to question the chances of this ever being solved. This is my opinion, but come on!

In addition, if this was the case, I would have to question why it took the first campers so long to locate her.

I am really starting to question what is being put out by LE, whether it is bait or fact...The time for games has long since passed. It has been a month. No disrespect intended, but the perception is becoming sour.

Could it be, MB was on her way to the porch ? I believe she mentioned the C Church porch area on her FB in case of bad weather in general. Have not checked how to access the porch area, but it looks like one would enter it form the inside! In that case
there may not be cameras outside. JMO

Perhaps I'm just forgetful, but do we have any video of Missy at the scene? If not, why not?

  • #724
I for one hope the attack wasn't caught on camera. For one that footage would be played back at trial and her poor family would have to see it. I know it might give clues as to if she appeared to know the killer and the manner in which it happened but such a brutal attack caught on film gives me chills. I hope they catch the person or persons responsible and very soon!

Maybe Saran Wrap was used to wrap their boots after to ensure leaving no bloody footprints on the way out. Just a thought

The wrap (if it was wrap) may have been needed, if the attack indeed happened in the porch area. Noise.

LE early on said that they do have video of her arriving and entering. But out of respect for the family, they have not released it.

This is what I believe. Missy parked under the porte cochere. Walked or ran to the front of the church (as it was raining) and unlocked the doors with her key. She turns right to go unlock the SW porte cochere doors and unload equipment. She hears a noise from the SW foyer area and notices broken glass (which would be to her left), goes to investigate and the perp strikes.

What? LE, during an April press conference, gave a very direct answer saying that a surveillance camera did pick up a car parked in the distance in the lot. LE may lie to a person being interrogated but they don't lie to the public at large in a press conference.

There was a car in the parking lot.

No, they didn't say there was a car in the parking lot. This is precisely what they said and you'll note the location of the car isn't given except where it is in within the frame of the camera:
Johnson said a vehicle can be seen on the video may belong to the killer, but there's not enough information to give the public.

"There’s one surveillance camera where you can see the car in the far corner of the frame, parked in the distance. You can't make out a plate, and we're not even comfortable releasing anything about a possible make or model,” Johnson said.

This just says they might have the perp's vehicle on film where it's at the edge of the video and at a distance.

ARgh. I've been hesitating posting my question because I don't want to add to any confusion regarding geographic locations in buildings.

I don't know why, but I always thought buildings were like an individual map or compass. Like every building's front door was considered a starting point like, either South on a map or 6:00 on a clock face.

Please :please: am I the only one who uses this inside their brain, lol? I'm just wondering if any confusion could be between what the text description in the news is vs what is in people's minds. I mean, *I* know what *I* mean when *I* say XYZ, and I assume *you* (you all) mean the same thing when *you* say it, but in reality, we mean completely different things?

I know we have people here who are either in LE or emergency services or have family and friends in those careers, who can help me? This is what I see in my brain:

Maybe the perp wrapped the tools with Saran Wrap too.

So what is your interpretation of where the car is, if it isn't on the church grounds?

Then again - and that's only speculation- if the attack happened in that SW corner/porch, I'd say we are looking at a very much targeted event/ possibly ordered hit, rather than some jealous wife/lover/etc, scenario. An attack in an open/ semi open area would require lots of thought and pre-planning. The swat outfit would fit right into this, perfect distraction for seconds. The seran wrap (if) to avoid screaming. The perp would oversee the parking lot. So much more

I'd really like to know where exactly she was found. This could be a key element.

I am am really starting to question what is being put out by LE, whether it is bait or fact...The time for games has long since passed. It has been a month.

Well, it could be, if it was pouring rain, the campers stayed put in their cars until the last minute--just about 5:00 AM, and then discovered her there after coming inside. I've read conflicting info concerning which entryway she first entered by. If she entered by way of the main front doors (with soaring atrium) with a key, then walked down the hallway towards the SW entry to open those doors to haul her equipment in, that may be how she walked into the 'ambush.' Between the inner and outer doors, in the vestibule area of that SW entry.

This is just how I'm interpreting this piece of information, however. Not fact, just hypothesis.

ETA: Re the campers...if that SW exterior door wasn't ever unlocked (or broken by perp), campers would have had to also enter by way of front main door, then walk down the hallway as Missy did, and that might explain the delay. Again...just hypothesizing, here. Didn't press conference say perp 'walked down the hallway' and 'presumably left the same way he came in'? (Far north end, with metal door and broken window)...

ETA again: except, no...LE stated neither were seen on tape AFTER the murder. So cancel that last sentence above about the press conference.

The front door faces west. I hope that helps. Just rotate your compass counter clockwise once.

This is pretty much my theory as well! I am, however, seriously beginning to question the fact that LE has none of this on video if it was in the SW corner and not in the sanctuary.

"There's one surveillance camera where you can see the car in the far corner of the frame, parked in the distance." ~ Asst. Chief Johnson (www.dailymail.co.uk article on pg 1 of this thread) *shrug* On NG tonight (no transcript yet), she says that the outdoor cameras were working "intermittently" - her words. I am not convinced that this "car" was not someone stopping because they spilled their coffee or dropped thier phone, and that car then moved on. Or perhaps they have enhanced the video and have foudn more of the car? Also, iirc LE has not made a statement since April 22? Imagine what all they must know now, have analyzed, solidified - look at what all Websleuths have deduced with hardly any info.

cady All I know is SOMEBODY really hated her. She wasn't murdered for money or because she was a witness. Somebody risked going to prison for life or the DP to get her out of their life permanently....that's how much they hated her. Otherwise, just shoot her and get it over with. JMO................they chose to beat and bash and disfigure her.

Re: bolded, this sounds more like a female perp to me. But jmo.

I think statistics on violent crime say otherwise.

But that is neither here nor there, because nobody knows what sex or gender swatperp is. LE isn't even releasing the physical description they've found yet.

Sounds to me like she might be doing some CYA since on Tricia's show she boldly predicted an arrest by Thursday, and talked about a particular someone as the possible perp.

I agree with you and if she's wrong about that particular someone that would be a shame. I don't understand why some are willing to destroy the lives of people based on gossip and hearsay. I think if you are willing to publicly out someone you better be positive and now it sounds like she's not so sure. JMO
