I tend to agree with this. (Sometimes I think it was a hired hit, and I don't think a hired hit would be outraged and full of hate.)

So...who would hate Missy? In my current theory that business is the motivation for the murder, I'm thinking that the perp could be someone who wanted Missy silenced because she knew something that could hurt the perp's business, reputation, and pride.

I have no idea who that could be or what the details are...but something about it seems to fit more than a romantic tangle.

Maybe a clue is in knowing why Missy stopped going to the gym.

JMOpinion, subject to constant change on this case.

She stopped going to the gym and then announced this date on FB. She knew it was dangerous but obviously thought the danger was over. No one was there, so she was fully aware that she was the only one. Was she there to meet someone? Expecting someone differnet than who she thought would be there? What crazy dis, did she invite? I see more jealousy than anything really. I think FB is a waste of time and no one knows me via Facebook.

Also- heart surgery can effect a gait- arterial issues. Who has a heart problem? heart surgery? heart valve problem?

I still think that she knew the perp. And I still think that the perp was insanely outraged and hated her for some reason.

and for those who are asking the motive? This person reacted in a way to outrage/hate/etc by murder - just the way we wouldn't hesitate honking at a car that pulled out in front of us while driving.

Ok I'm not posting much today because I'm getting sick and I'm not making any sense to myself.... :notgood: but one quick ?
Something I saw on SM is prompting me to ask this!

Has anyone driven on the trails behind the church and behind SWFA that lead up to 287? You don't have to use the driveways of either location if they used the trails...
I would like to know how clear they are and if they just old muddy clearings, or main trails...
TIA!

Very valid thanks. This would explain how perp arrived and left unseen. I didn't know there were trails behind the church and SWFA. This would explain why they chose the church as the location for the murder too.

Been a couple of weeks since my last post, but I've been keeping up with every thread. Amazing insight and perspective from the posters here and in a most respectable manner. I live in the Metroplex (about 20-25 miles from Midlothian) and drove down that stretch of Highway 287 for the first time in a few years. There were a couple of things that caught my eye. First, I was shocked at how close the church was to the highway. By looking at some of these diagrams posted here (especially the google earth satellite shots), I thought the church would be set way further back from the highway. When I drove past, coming from south heading north, you could see right into that SW corner awning entrance area. What's weird is that I've driven that stretch a few times in the past and never even noticed that church. It was quite an eerie feeling just seeing it. Next, from where that gun store is in relation to the church, I can see where it could maybe pick up a vehicle pulling into the church parking lot but that would be about it. It seems nearly impossible for any of those cameras to pick up anything of detail from that far away IMO. Keep up the good work everyone. Hope an arrest is made soon so that BB and family can finally have some peace.

perp looks very calm, almost casual, to me. moseying around the church as if there were no expectation of meeting anyone else there.

Yep, probably wearing a Thrive patch, for the added energy to accomplish the dirty deed........................JUST MY OPINION

The way MB was killed was gruesome, but, SP appeared cool and under control cruising the church halls, not filled with rage. S/he had a job to do. IMO, a professional hit.

I'll have to disagree with that one. I don't plan to honk at a car that cuts me off, and I do think the perp carefully planned this murder. The murder wasn't a result of anger that came forth in an instant, but an anger that has been boiling for awhile.

I suppose if someone drove in to the lot without lights on maybe no cameras would have caught it. When Missy arrived maybe they see headlights only on the cam and then see Missy inside the church so are logically concluding it was her that pulled in?
I asked before - is it even possible on modern cars to drive without your headlights on? On really old cars, you could do that. But cars manufactured from maybe 2000 on all seem to have headlights that come on if the car starts moving, even in reverse, whether or not the driver turned them on as a safety feature.

Ito business she wasn't in a lucrative field of business.... enough to kill over. Not like she was making thousands each week. And we know she was in debt.
Ito dating, yes there were plenty people - men and women - who might have objected to her social activities.
But also, she was facing bankruptcy right? So there's a big motive too. Anyone know if there was a life insurance policy? I am just musing about likely motives.

I know this is morbid, but throughout this mystery the Beatles song ' Maxwell's silver hammer' keeps playing in my brain.....ugh. Still like the song, though. JMO

Ah man...that opposite scenario is also on my list.

I have a feeling that despite all our conversations on this thread, we still haven't hit upon the true motive or scenario. That's why "everything" seems possible, yet "nothing" fits. We aren't there yet, imo.

Yes, it was stealthy, but uncontrollable rage, but the poster was trying to relate to instantaneous rage, like honking at someone and screaming at them, because in a car situation, you react out of fear for your life. Here, I think it was fear for the livelihood of the perp....whether in a financial sense, or a familial sense. Rage is rage. JMO

Sparky if you google anytime fitness missy bevers a video will come up and you can see her in a training session. JMO

Link please? I Googled it and no training session videos are coming up. TIA!

Me too. I only get generic listings for Anytime Fitness locations all over the country. If I add Missy Bevers to the search, I get news stories about this case.

Came across this while searching for contract killing stats. An ABC show about how prevalent the hiring of hitmen is becoming. Even for killing colleagues :( who knew?

Quote "The stories have been all over the headlines lately – hit men hired across the country to kill .... and co-workers" ABC 2020 12 March 2014. Here's the Facebook link.

The church is only about .2 or maybe .3 mile from the business. Its just on the opposite side of the road.

Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk

Sorry to nit-pick, but I think it’s more like 0.4 to 0.5 miles

Couples go to CampGladiator as well. It really sounds like some couple was arguing over whether to pay the $200 fee for the camp becuase this can be done at home.

Reddit ( i found a person on here that broke their foot) Should LE be interrogating Reddit? ( Posted one year ago) below

I did three months and the trainers/workouts were actually really good and challenging. I stopped when I broke my foot (and lost my gains) in an unrelated incident. I had no problem cancelling and only occasionally get asked to join again.https://www.reddit.com/r/Austin/comments/2r4b03/anyone_have_any_experience_with_camp_gladiator/ last post

Ha! I normally don't honk either because of road rage these days, but I did honk 2x today given the circumstances. Cranky when sick maybe? :)

I guess what I was implying was (IF the cause was outrage/hate/etc) that the SP thought it was justified planning the murder/or the snapped reaction. Their anger is multiplied by a million... I don't know why I get surprised when these things happen. People are nuts. That's why I love dogs. :/

I have a fever. I'm just going to read now. I might not be making sense.

Ya know... I've come to realize there are some batshhhh crazy people in this world. SWATPERP's motive could be so ridiculous that he/she could be just about anyone.

I saw an episode of Dateline not that long ago where a 30 year-old woman---who still lived at home with her parents and spent all of her time online---had a crush on some guy who lived in her hometown. The guy had a girlfriend and apparently this girl flipped out when his girlfriend became pregnant and moved in with him. She started all this FB drama... so the guy and his girlfriend just deleted/blocked her from their pages. Then the girl starts e-mailing her parents (& the crush's cousin who she's now also dating) as a fake CIA agent named Chris. "Chris' emails" claim he came across the girl's FB page while doing research about cyberbullying and that he's concerned about her safety and well-being. She continues to email her parents and BF under this Chris name and begins to tell them that her life is imminent danger. She tells them that the two are planning to kill their daughter and if they don't do something about it now, she'll end up dead. So, her dad and her new boyfriend take a trip out to the couple's house one night & KILL him and his girlfriend as they slept with their 7 month old baby in the bed! LE discovered all of the emails from "Chris" came from their daughter's IP address.

For all we know... something equally as crazy could have happened here!
