Very interesting (even significant) if you commented earlier than you rule out Missy's family which you 100% believe they're innocent.

Or am I misquoting you?

Either way, thank you for all your comments from a local perspective.

I know you asked Breck this question but I think she and I are on the same page regarding theories as to what situation led to Missy's murder and who may be responsible. I'm also local. I can say that there is someone who is under the umbrella of suspicion by many locals who fits the body-type and has a smiler gait...and the eyes fit in with the picture of the perp that Sparky recently posted. IMO, LE is aware of her and may have questioned her already.

Like who? I am not getting that he looks familiar.

Nor am I
It seems many are on different pages
In reading txmommy's post, as a local, many think it is a she
So I am more confused than ever

I read the daily mail often they are kind-of loose with the truth. Looks like they took some of the first LE comments from early on and combined them to spin the truth with BBs interview yesterday.

Yea, I don't even think they're trying to pretend they're not a tabloid.

I'm not far from Midlothian, also a fellow Texan. Hey neighbor. :D Wait, I tell a lie! My husband does own something he pulls over his head for bird hunting and it's camo just like your talking about but if I remember correctly it's more flappy (sorry can't think of a better term lol). Thanks for reminding me. He hasn't hunted birds for at least 5+ years so I forgot about it.

Hi neighbor! :seeya:

I think I know what you're talking about! Does it cover part of the face with velcro or a flap that folds over or something? My husband has so much hunting gear that it would be difficult for me to say for sure if that's the one you mean! But, he definitely has a "baclava" and used that word specifically when he saw the perp. I thought it was called something else...

BBL! Gotta go tend to RL for a bit! :)

Out of curiosity how many people here own or has a spouse or child that owns a balaclava?

Personally I don't know anyone in my life that does. I don't believe the perp went out and bought the balaclava for this murder, I think it was something that he/she or a family member already owned. :websleuther:

We own three.
My husband bought one for himself and one for me in fleece years ago because we walk the dogs in the winter and because we also hike in the winter.
And then more recently several years ago, I bought my husband a black one, but not made of fleece.
We enjoy the outdoors, even in winter here in Colorado.

IMOO.

My husband and I are bikers (Harley) and we both own and wear balaclavas as do many of the people we ride with.

From what the police said it seems that there was more than one murder weapon. Switching tools, IMO, means that the perp had the control over himself. It excludes rage or panic, someone in such state does not think about changing the weapon.

Goggles are smart to utilize when breaking tempered glass which is what door manufacturers use when they incorporate glass panels into doors. Yes, tempered glass which breaks into small chunks, not shreds. Not sharp spikes of glass.
Therefore, goggles are a smart deterrent to wear to prevent glass chunky pieces from flying into one's eyes while breaking the panel.
Anything, sharp or not ,flying through the air us better out of your eyes. That said, I stated that you wouldn't want the broken drywall in your eyes. You also wouldn't want someone trying to claw your eyes out while fighting for their lives.

I'm not sure and he's not home for me to ask but I *think* it just pulls over the head and the neck part is loose so just kinda hangs down. Not sure about Velcro but possible. I haven't seen it in years. I guess it could be considered a balaclava of some sort. He mainly hunts deer so I never see him wear it hence the reason I completely forgot about it until you mentioned it.

Well aware what tempered glass is, BTW

I just think his face looks like the picture of the perp from the most recent blown up picture but I can't think of any reason he would have to target Missy and I do believe she was targeted. That's my opinion.

I am curious now though that locals believe it is a woman and know precisely who that woman is and may have already been questioned.

Although I grew up in Desoto I do not live there now so I'm not really local and don't anyone who lives in that area anymore.

This is the first we are hearing about the perp trying to clean up the crime scene. Has anyone seen that mentioned before? Not sure I believe that. Did they really have time to do that? The timeline is tight as is. And WHY would they clean up? Unless the perp was trying to clean up evidence he/she left behind?

Hmmm....going to just put that tidbit to the side for now. It doesn't make sense to me.

I would take anything from the Daily Mail with a grain of salt..

So I was at the MPD Facebook page this morning just to see if there were any new comments. Found one a bit interesting. Went to check it out, turned out to not resonate with me....

BUT something else did. Has anyone else noticed that before this tragic murder of MB, BB was not as religious as he is appearing to be now? Maybe this horrible tragedy brought him closer to God or maybe it's all for show! Time will tell. JMO

The wide face, and the eye shape looks somewhat similar to the face on the surveillance video. jmo However, the eyebrows don't match, and I do not think the man in the surveillance video is Caucasian. jmo, though

Hi sunset beach. A long time ago I had a job that required me to be in and out of my car a lot during what can be brutal Minnesota winters. My father bought me headwear that was for all intents and purposes a balaclava although it was not black. It could be worn different ways to cover your mouth and nose or more to cover your head and throat.

Your post just made me think of that. They sold them at a kiosk in the mall lol. Brightly colored ones were not sinister but a black one might give me pause. Of course TX doesn't have winters like MN.

Just throwing it out there.

Not all locals believe it a woman. Yes, although there is talk that a woman was questioned for a quite a while I might add, at this time, no one knows that really happened. Honestly, it's my opinion that many people both women and man have been questioned in more than one city. That being said, we have no confirmation from LE that anyone in particular is the sole suspect. As a local, I have heard many rumors about the "COD", who has been questioned, why the were questioned but again in my opinion these have not been confirmed by police. Hoping for more information soon, praying the LE at least names a person or persons of interest, so we can do more sleuthing and less speculating.

Yes, some locals seem to think the murderer is a woman and they have contacted LE and I believe that she is very much on their radar.

However, I think it's important to not have tunnel vision in this case. IMO, there are a few people that might have had motive and LE is doing their job by tracking all of those leads. I keep seeing people say (not necessarily on here) that they think this investigation is taking a long time and questioning why there hasn't there been an arrest. I blame this mindset on true-crime TV!

These threads are moving so fast! I've had to kind of breeze through some of it. I'm curious about something though, because I know very little about the oil industry. Were she and her husband very wealthy and influential in the area? Would his job have made his family a target from a competing oil company?
