In situations like this, people want to help. The easiest way to do so is to write a check. Flowers are so expensive, they want to do something that will help more than a floral spray. So you let them. [shrug]

Right ! I don't think it's necessarily ' asking for money'. It's more saying ' if you are so inclined to send a ' gift' , a monetary gift would be so much more helpful than an expensive bouquet of flowers that will be forgotten about at the funeral home or have to be given away or even watered to take care of ''. I'm speculating but I can recall many a service where family is literally begging people to take home bouquets with them because they don't want them to be thrown out.

TY for this. Hard to imagine someone taking a billing issue out on Missy I guess. just trying to find something business connected...

It is the trainers who are the face of the company and get everyone to sign up. I don't think someone would kill her over a bill issue, but if someone would, she would have been the face of it if someone felt in some way that she defrauded them where the trainers heavily push you to sign up and then on the billing side it becomes impossible to cancel once you've been talked into by the trainer.

If the perp DID wear those boot covers, I don't think they knew about the cameras. Why go to so much trouble to cover your tracks if you'll be seen on camera anyway?

Yes ^

I wouldn't want to try and run in the boot covers!!!

I'm wondering about if they knew about cameras as well. If they did know they were pretty careful to not look directly at them. If they did wear boot covers that would quite clever IMO to not leave a distinct shoe print.

I think the perp took every opportunity to cover/change his/her tracks and appearance - cameras or no.

Absolutely

No one can really even tell if it is a man or a woman

They either didn't know about the cameras....or......they were looking for the camera recorders and wanted to disable them and steal them.

I don't think the perpetrator is going to go to this much planning and preparation and not know about interior security cameras. THAT IS WHY THEY DRESSED UP IN SWAT GEAR. It wasn't just to scare Missy, or get close to her. They knew during those videos that she wasn't there yet. The reason they are covered from head to toe, including the face, is that they KNEW ABOUT THE CAMERAS!!!

I took it to be for stealth, especially if they put them on once they got inside. Missy wouldn't see any of their tracks nor hear them, compared to the shoes that could be noisy (especially if they were wet).

IMO, this crime was so thought out - to the nth degree. Nothing was left to chance.

What fight? Those images are from 20 minutes before Missy arrived.

Just my opinion, but only think there was one perp, and that Missy was the target.

If you remove a burglary gone wrong scenario ( which I have ) , then it really is curious they wanted to be inside the church at all, isn't it ? What is this about ? Did they know the cameras outside were not working or did they disable cameras outside before ? If so, why not commit the murder outside the building? Have the cameras outside been broken for days or weeks and if so, who knew this besides a few staff members who work at the church ? Could the outdoor cameras have been damaged in recent storms? Maybe the pastor mentioned it at a recent service? Maybe the whole congregation knew? But someone who did not attend the church would NOT know the cameras outside were not working unless they turned / disabled the cameras themselves?

ETA Who installed and serviced the cameras? Do they have a company who does that or a well meaning member of the church who volunteered to and maybe told others they were not working? "" i have to go fix the cameras at the church next weekend'' ..... and overheard by the perp ?

We need a presser with some answers or an arrest. Come on LE !

Yes, I am very curious about all of the questions you asked.
It seems so unnecessary, she pulled up to the church.. alone.. no one around
Why spend so much time inside, looking around?
It must have taken some time to pry the handle off of that door

LE said there was a struggle, though I don't know how much of that was staged. I do for instance think she could have been killed from behind and post-mortem glass and such was broken to make it look like it was an interrupted burglary followed by a fight. She could have been stealthily hit with a hammer or other object and then to be sure the job was done shot with a firearm.

I'm guessing that the perp may have already owned the overshoes and knew they'd leave no tracks and make no noise. To me, they look like the kind of item you'd see on the "as seen on tv" aisle at Walgreens during Christmastime.
OTOH, if they were bought/ordered specifically for this crime, I wonder if LE has the ability to check with Amazon for people in the Midlothian area who recently purchased a pair.
