A thought about the gait: Since it is unusual, I imagine locals are probably watching how everyone walks. In a small community like this, it seems that someone would have either noticed someone who walks like this or already knows them. But since no one has came forward and no arrests have been made (unless LE has their eye on someone with this particular walk and are biding their time) it makes me wonder if this person is not from out of town and was hired. Hope this makes sense.

I live a few minutes from town and I'm giving the side eye to everyone. I know the residents of Midlothian are on edge.

Along the disgruntled current/former CG line:I wonder if it was a younger person "made" to go to a camp by an older adult. By younger I mean late teens, 20ish. Developed a hatred for early ams and workouts. If MB had not been herself last few weeks and family worried about her safety as has been reported, maybe it was due to being scared of retaliation. IMO someone methodically and violently planned and carried out a vicious attack. Eating disorders and body image problems are rampant in younger women today, as is violence. I recently worked with under age girls and boys in a psych setting and it appalls me the self injury and combative behaviors these kids exhibit. Not common in my youth. Threats of death and violence common now. JMO

Apart from surveillance, LE could be waiting for some FBI input - telecommunication data on a particular cellphone of a POI - or activity expected.

We all know it will break, just wish they'd 'up the pressure' so we could see it.

:lol: it is crazy that we're 7 days and 3000+ posts in and, despite having more CCTV footage than we ever usually get, we still don't even know whether the killer is male or female. Or indeed anything else about what happened other than from the initial timeline. We haven't even got a solid CoD.

So, why are the police being so quiet? Are they just waiting to pounce; watching and listening for someone to trip up?

Bill - Why do you think "fake cop" methodically checking the hallway - room by room? Is that the front entrance? At 5 am, you would think there would be no other person in the building, so does not make sense.... He even tried to jimmy open a locked door and was looking into every room---even the split door room. Eerie!

Any chance that this video footage is not pre- attack, but during attack? Could Missy have ran off during attack, and hiding. So, he went door by door to find her? What room is at the end of the video, where they appear to break the glass to get in? Didn't they say she was found surrounded by glass? Was this the kitchen? What is Room #12 that peeps mention? Trying to catch up!

Very interesting post jmo LE has only said that they have 30 minutes of video of the killer, and what they released is a bit over 2 minutes. I wondered too if Missy was actually in the church when he was creeping along the hallways.That makes so much sense, that he could have been looking for her. Perhaps he heard something. I also noticed him grip the hammer firmly when he entered one of the rooms. Yes, LE did mention the glass around her body. Hmmm jmo

But I've come to a different conclusion about the room with the Dutch door. That room had windows where the perp could see MB drive up and get out of her car. As the time approached 4:15, I'm going to say the perp waiting in that room, looking out the window, for MB to arrive. Going further, I'm going to presume that MB headed inside the building toward the back of the building, and he followed her to where his trap was laid.

I never thought about that Bill Carson. Being able to see outside for her arrival. Good observation!!

I haven't read all about the Saran Wrap: I had no idea that was involved somehow. My guess tho' is that if it's only speculation, NO there was no glad wrap use in this case.

This man wants to get away with this crime. He wanted to hide all DNA, all possibility of being traced. Ipso Facto the man is going to REALLY get rid of the clothes & hammer - like OJ did in that murder. This murderer was out to fool the world with all of his ploys. Get it - think about it: In this man's head as he's planning this murder, his issue is that he needs to people think it could never be HIM. So, the outfit, police jacket, fake burglary, etc. - IMO he thought we'd think 20'ish male who was there to rob the church but instead of finding pricey computer equipment he only found junk, so he smashed stuff with his hammer (fake 'teen male boy rage'). This man wanted us all to think he had not gone to that church for anything at all that had to do with Missy.

Oh, I hope that man is sweating now.

I think the only 'stumper' for the police is how to build up their evidence to arrest the man. When I saw that asst. chief press conf', I felt the vibe from him of GRIEF. They totally know who the man is - IMO he's right there 'hiding in plain sight' right now, but police know exactly who he is - they're sad they can't arrest him as yet, sad he's out loose. Think about it: If the police were scared for the community they'd be very assertive in cautioning everyone in that community & neighboring counties, etc. - gheesh I didn't even hear asst. chief say, 'oh, we suggest you lock your door....when it's bedtime'.

The way I feel is that this murderer thought it all through but his flub-up is his gait & those feet of his that turn out, one turns out more.

And IMO the guy's KINDA nervous likely about that police jacket of his, cuz' he's got a history along those lines - cop dress up for the adult Hallw. parties, I bet his FB likely has cop this-or-that on it - praise of STRONG HE MAN cops IMO. This murderer is in with the biker middle aged men & their babes crowd but as so many do he has issues about police officers & authority figures, & rules of conduct !

IMO this man knows he's sick sick sick, but obsessive tension (OCD'ish) of his anger of his 'impossible situation' with Missy pulled on him & he couldn't stand it anymore plus with his community being such a lovely safe place, poor Missy was very easy bait - remember this man PLANNED THIS OUT & for a LONG TIME prior to the actual murder !! He aimed for perfection & success & just never thought his out-turned feet & gait would cause all these VERY REAL problems for him now.

In this man's mind what happened was that he could not stand the inner turmoil & tension he was feeling, he 'just couldn't take it anymore' - something had to give to STOP THINGS FROM CONTINUING as they were. PLUS Missy rejected him for the most part IMO (what I mean is I bet Missy was plenty nice to this man in real life but did not go the path this man wanted AND it had been going on for a long time) - the guy 'snapped' in the sense that he got to a point where cuz' of his POLICE jacket & Missy at that church at 0400am many Sundays, he concocted his elaborate & 'perfect crime' of a plan to kill her.

Also, IMO I did NOT see the police chief's press conf/s at all (it would be nice if someone would post links with time-starts-stops): My understanding is that the police chief kinda said to the killer 'please talk to somebody' - IMO a piece of the police chief's plea was his upset knowing how one dimension of this nutZ plan was to cause Missy such terror just b4 she died & in her dying process.

At 1st this case had me fooled.

Oh - my jar dropped when I read the WSl post comparing this to T Sievers case. I recall the ishy Rev. Neulander whose 20'ish y ol son wound up being a 1st responder (fire dept.) called to his own parents' home to find his mom dead in a pool of blood - Neulander was a sneaky big schemer. I also remember omgoodness Dirk Greineder !! Remember Dirk G??? Meticulous with rubber gloves & he like Dennis Rader kept murder 'stuff' in his garage!! . This case is ishy, fetishistic IMO.

A little more about who Missy was as a person and mother, according to her MIL:


Bevers became certified as a fitness instructor approximately two years ago and began teaching Camp Gladiator, a fitness “boot camp.”

“That meant everything to her,” Tucker says. “She didn’t have time for anything else as far as other hobbies. She figured out this is what she needed to do after she tried many things. This is her passion.”

Bevers and her daughters connected through sports, Tucker says. She spent much of her time shuttling her children back and forth to practices for sports like softball and soccer. Bevers also loved playing golf with one of her daughters, according to Tucker.

“They’re doing better than you would expect,” Tucker says about her grandchildren. “One of them asked me, ‘How long before we can be happy?’ And there’s not an answer.”

“It’s such an up and down emotional roller coaster,” Tucker continues. “They’ll be growing up a little quicker than planned.”
