If SP neverleft the church, where did they discard the large, bulky outfit, probably withsome blood on it. I remember the dayit happened seeing pictures of numerous law enforcement there. I cant imagine they didnt survey everysquare inch of that property.
When a small group (guessing 10 or 12 based on some pictures) gets together at 5 in the morningto strenuously exercise and often buddying up- They all know each other. And if a new person or two came one morning, they would quickly (that day) be amalgamated into the group.
Even in the chaos, I dont see one person pretending to be a part of the group and no one else saying, I dont know him/her; He/she has never been here before. As chaotic as it could have been, police are diligent in cordoning off a crime scene almost immediately.
Ive considered one of the CGs being SP, but you still have to dispose of the get-upsomehow. And not look like you just were in a battle to the death. The theory solves a couple problems and creates more.
I always go back to SP parking a vehicle (or having a get-away driver) behind the cement retaining wall on the back side of the church. And if it was raining and very dark and youre sitting in your car, youre probably surfing the net or texting or e-mailing and not paying attention. Esp if you have no cause for alarm (and wontfor quite a while). The parking lot isnot flat or clear at all. It is a bitsprawling, quite hilly with lots of shrubbery throughout. SP is quietly gone.
I think theymight have had less time than they thought, but still had enough. They could have been out of there before thearrival of the first CG. Or driven outof the parking lot onto the freeway (that by now is getting a few cars on it); while a CG or two that arrived early was on their phone. The distance from the church onto the highway is very short (20-30 second drive at aleisurely pace.)
Again if more went on than that, only LE knows.
I will admit it worries me if LE honed in on the burglary angle immediately and processed and returned the crime scene quickly, that something was missed (a SWAT outfitin someones car, or stashed deep in the woods around the place).
