Family, Friends Searching for Man Missing in Hill County

Tom Tiwater, 42, was last seen around 8:00 p.m. on April 29 when he left in his truck to look for a fishing spot, according to his family.

"The family asks that if a member of the search party locates him unresponsive, they should not touch him and should contact police immediately. Anyone with riverfront property along the Brazos River and Nolan River are asked to look out for him. Volunteers are asked to search in Bosque County, especially around Lake Whitney."

Tom Curney Tiwater, 42, of Blum, TX was last seen leaving his home Friday night at approximately 8 p.m., headed to check boat ramps for a planned fishing trip Saturday morning.

Mr. Tiwater is possibly driving a black 2006 Ford F-150 with Texas license plate HDX9634. The truck has a sticker advertising the sale of a miniature dachshund with a phone number on the rear glass of the truck. Police say he was wearing work boots, khaki shorts and a blue shirt when he left his home Friday evening.

After finding a license plate of his truck, the resident located Tiwater’s truck in a creek, in approximately 3 feet of water.

Hill County and Bosque County deputies approached the truck and located Tiwater deceased inside of it.
