This is incredibly sad on all parts.
Fire at home of dad and son, 13, was sparked by 'cooking meth'I think they may want to investigate that fire a little further. Are they sure it wasn't arson, set by the kid?

Ya, keeps getting sadder.OFGS!
Mennonite’s & meth? WowIs there some reason the news articles all mention the family's religion? I can't imagine seeing an article that says "the father, a Baptist" or "the boy, a Methodist." Why do they keep saying they are Mennonite?
And no one contacted DFPS?Fire at home of dad and son, 13, was sparked by 'cooking meth'

The parents both have definitely German names, and as for them potentially being Mennonite, I used to live in an area with a sizable Amish population, and they aren't as different from "us" as many people would think. Is there some reason the news articles all mention the family's religion? A 13 year old should not have been allowed to drive, period.A tire blew out and the driver lost control. This would have been the same tragedy regardless of who was driving. Let's wait for all the facts before passing out blame. MO

I live in an area where there are many Mennonites and Amish, and while their background (and names) are Amish or Mennonite they aren’t necessarily practicing their religion. In some cases they are a couple of generations removed from active religion but still have the names. Those are "Mennonite names" for sure, but I can absolutely assure you (but not swear, because we don't do that) that we are not into meth casseroles at the potluck.
