Was Corl ever tied to the boat shed or the beach other than by the guys who killed him? Any evidence at all linking him to those locations or bodies?

The "Guys" were teenagers. When Wayne killed Dean he was only 17 and had been helping him for 3 years. It was Deans house where he killed him. If you read the story of the day Dean was killed it tells you everything. Dean had all 3 kids tied up and gagged. If Henley hadnt convinced Dean that he would rape and kill the girl and was let our of his restraints they would have all been dead. While Dean was raping the other boy Henley grabbed a pistol and shot Dean. There is no dispute that Dean Corll was the monster and he had manipulated 2 teenage boys into helping him. Read the Serial Killers apprentice, it explains everything.

It was actually 2 years, 1972—1973.

The boatshed belonged to him and a torture board was found at his family’s Lake Sam Rayburn cabin, as were multiple bodies.

Participation of Elmer Wayne Henley

In approximately October 1971, Brooks encountered Wayne Henley as the two truanted from Hamilton Junior High School; he later introduced him to Corll. Henley likely was lured to Corll's address as an intended victim. However, Corll evidently decided the youth would make a good accomplice and offered him the same fee of $200 for any boy he could lure to his apartment, informing Henley that he was involved in a "white slavery ring" operating from Dallas.

The timeline is all out of wack everywhere. Henley was 14 when he met Corll, by October 1971 he was 15. So he had to have met DC before his birthday in May. Brooks's confessions indicate that he introduced him to Corll while he was living at the Columbia address (which was from September to December 1971 according to The Scientist and The Serial Killer by Lise Olsen). However, he also says that that's when Corll bought him the Corvette which is factually false. Brooks got the car for his 16th birthday (https://www.texasmonthly.com/true-crime/the-lost-boys/) which was on February 12th. Also, he met Henley and introduced him to Corll while they were both still attending Hamilton High School, which Brooks dropped out of at 15-years-old according to Jack Olsen's book. During this time range, Henley was 14. He had to have met Corll very early in 1971, most likely in January.

Henley says participation began with the abduction of the 1st hitchhiker, which was on Schuler Street (1972), according to him. He probably informed EWH of the ring and made the offer in late 1971 (as he ignored the offer for months) but Henley didn't know Corll was rapist/killer until the Frank Aguirre murder in March 1972.

Wikipedia isn't exactly the most reliable source.

in the Serial killers apprentice they talked about how David knew Corll when they had the Corll candy company. He was 12 and used to play pool with Dean and other kids in the back. It was at the candy company that David started hanging out with Dean and spending time with him. Unfortunately David Brooks didn't help much after awhile and could have shed light on those early days with Dean. I have heard numbers as high as 150 kids gone missing between 1970 and when Dean was killed.

Brooks actually met Corll at 10, he got the timeline wrong in his statement (Mass Murder In Houston : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive). He met Corll after the candy shop relocated near Helms Elementary, which happend in mid 1965, when he was 10. Here's an excerpt from Jack Olsen's book: “I don’t understand thangs like that,” Alton Brooks said. “How could he be foolin’ around with a man and then get a girl pregnant? It’s the influence that Corll had over him. You can do a lot to a boy if you get control of him when he’s ten years old.”

It explains everything from their side of the story

I don't want to make it out like I am defending Corl or Gacey, certainly am not, but.... Norman is in Texas running an escort operation for boys, there is a huge kiddie 🤬🤬🤬🤬 factory in Houston at the same time, and some of the kids found buried were linked to the factory and I believe I've read to Normans service

It isn't that far out of the question to think that maybe those teenagers who killed Corl were working with him AND others from a bigger network, that while Corl was a terrible person and was killing and torturing people he may not have killed all of the bodies that were put on him

The teens killed Corl, and they felt like their best move was to put everything on him

Or, this could have already been planned, they could have been instructed to lead the cops to those bodies if there was ever a chance to put them on someone else

Or, they could have been instructed to kill him and blame everything on him by someone else higher up in a network

The odds of two of the biggest serial killers in US history both being found with the same type of bodies buried around the time Norman is running the service he was running in both locations when he has ties to both of the killers seems hard to believe in its own right, does it not?

Feels like a situation where everyone is a 🤬🤬🤬 in their own right, but maybe someone lower down took the fall for the guys above them

That information would have gotten them out of prison really fast. Henley was very helpful in telling the police everything to get closure for the families. Corll did the raping and killing there is no doubt. Henley and Brooks......Teenagers.....were used by him and they helped him. Henley confessed to helping kill some of the boys. Brookes after confessing to 1 killing shut up. Understand that Henley could have said nothing and his killing of Dean was ruled a justifiable homicide. He could have walked and said nothing. Maybe the police would have investigated and found bodies, but with the way they ignored all of the parents of missing kids, and shut down the investigations once the angry parents came out, it is doubtful.

Its a fair point that if they had enough info on whoever may have been above Corl that it could have got them out of prison (in this theory)

But what if they didn't have info on the other guys? What if they were just 'Kevin' to them and they didn't know real names, address, or anything other than some guy named Kevin

Or, what if they were scared of the retribution that would have come from the network if they spoke out against them? Gacey didn't even mention the name Norman to anyone until decades after he had been locked up

On the one hand you could argue he may have just learned about the possible Norman connection later on and is throwing it out as a hail mary (and that is very likely, no doubt)

Or, he may have been afraid they would kill him if he talked, and then 15 years later didn't think the risk was still as strong, or just didn't care cuz he is locked up so dying may be better

So the theory is that two teenagers were abducting and killing around 30 boys at possibly 25 different locations and burying them at locations controlled by an adult in his 30's? another person already asked this on another thread but is this on some ignorant you tube channel? Henley came clean and has been very forthcoming with investigators ever since. He spoke of the trafficking ring within days of them finding bodies. They arrested Norman in Dallas and 5 people in San Jose Ca who were linked in some way. Norman posted bond and fled the state and went to Chicago. He was arrested again and fled back to Dallas and was arrested and got a slap on the wrist. He then went to California and was incarcerated in a mental institution after getting caught there.

That isn't the theory at all, there are lots of theories, but none of them are what you laid out

Corll was very very likely to be a 🤬🤬🤬 murdering kid raper, no doubt

But, he may have been working for the escort service (like he claimed) and he may have been the guy who was tasked at getting rid of the kids for the service

If a politician pays to be with a kid and then changes his mind, the only thing that is going to ease his mind is going to be knowing that kid can no longer tell anyone

Someone else may have killed a lot of those kids and just used Corll's boat stall to bury them, this could be anyone else, not just the two teens

The two teens could have also been working for the network, knew about the boat stall because they helped bury bodies there, and could have been told if anything like what went down ever went down to just blame it all on Dean

Norman was running things in Dallas for 1.5 to 2 years, Dean says he is connected to an organization in Dallas, some of the boys found with Dean's dead bodies were pictured in Norman's service, and he flees not long after Corll is killed

They know he is in Illinois, they let him stay free for awhile until he gets caught again, he stays in the Illinois area for the next 5ish years (with some local prison time worked in) and then Gacey gets caught in a remarkably similar situation to Corll, and he is linked to them also

The question is, do we have any other cases of dozens of teen(ish) aged boys found in mass graves in the countries history? I can't think of any, and I have asked here and no one has an answer

So what is more likely? These two unicorn cases with a common link are or aren't connected?
