I think before you make such a negative statement about someone's profession you should know what you are talking about. My mother has been a Flight Attendant for 38 years and she still is flying today...and she is not a FLYING WAITRESS...she is not on that plane to wait on your ass, she is there to help & save your ass if needed. The serving of drinks etc is something extra they do while in the air, that is not their primary reason fro being on the plane.



Can you imagine what the flight would be like if there were no Flight Attendants on that plane to help passengers?? Can you imagine what it would be like if there was some sort of a problem on the flight people would panic and they are trained to help them get through difficult situations etc?



My mother in her 38 years of flying has not only served drinks.....she has saved 4 peoples lives and helped many people in different circumstances on he flights. It is hard job that is very demanding and keeps you away from your family and every time that plane takes off and lands is a chance for you to lose your own life.



I think any and every job that some one does in this word is IMPORTANT and thank everyone who does work and contribute as there are many in this country who do not work and our tax dollars pay to support them.

Thats exactly how i feel about my job, i am a nurse tech, i am going to school to be an RN and i feel like people think of me as a slave or something...

that is true although i dont think that jim bakker is a bad man, i just think he made bad choices, really bad ones...

Yeah, he got in WAY over his head. He sold way too may timeshares for that center he was building. Then he started trying to cover it up until he could figure everything out. I think in the end he had a nervous breakdown. The only thing I have against him is that he tarnished the TV ministries. I believe in TV ministries because they help the elderly and handicapped people who can't attend church. I hear he is back in ministry. I believe he remarried also. I know Tammy Fay did. I have seen Tammy Fay several times on TV this year. I hope she gets well. Her health is really bad.

I was very sad when all that jim bakker stuff happened, being raised in a church it was a total disappointment and it gives "christians" a bad name i think....Tammy has her own website where she post letters there on her health and updates i think she is doing better, jim has remarried...I have his book " i was wrong" i dont know if you read it but you may like it if you get a chance to read it....It is so sad though because he was one of the first founders of tv ministries.. I on the other hand cannot stand jerry falwell, dont ask me why, i have just a gut feeling something isnt legit with him, but i dont know if that is for sure or not....

I also read her November 15th letter. She says that she is cancer free as of November. That is so cool. I stopped taking treatments the second week of December and my tests are looking great too! I am glad that they turned everything around. Another article says they are getting the financial stuff paid a little each year. I admire them for working together to do the right thing. The IRS is working with them also. I never dreamed they would come out of this with their sanity. I guess they get a lot of help from above! LOL. :angel: Thanks for sharing the books.
