71-Year-Old Man Missing from South Padre Island, Police Say

So sad. I hope Bill and Grace are, or will be, OK. We had a case like this in the Australian outback recently. Paddy is 70 and went missing with his dog, Kellie. It doesn’t augur well for either man as they are elderly and vulnerable. If they were laying hurt somewhere, I wonder if their dogs would leave their sides? I hope police and Bill’s loved ones are checking local animal shelters to see if Grace has been surrendered. Looking for Kellie was one of the strategies police employed when trying to locate witnesses in Paddy’s misper case. Sadly, with no success.

Body reportedly found of missing retired priest in Texas
“Certainly the news of the discovery of his body has saddened all of us,” Kearns said. “The circumstances of it are very disturbing. We certainly await additional information on it.”
The body was found at a small cemetery near the town of Santa Monica, Texas, which is in Willacy County, and an arrest has been made, according to KRGV-TV.
The retired priest was not a stranger to controversy. He was sued by another priest in 2010 for defamation, but the lawsuit was dismissed because the statute of limitations had expired.

The suit claimed Costello fabricated claims that the other priest harassed a student in 2005. The statute of limitations required the other priest to file the suit within three years.

Man arrested in case of missing priest in South Texas
There doesn't appear to be anything different in this article.
I found the following to be new info, and I guess it’s possible I’m not the only person that missed it before so I hope no one minds me highlighting this part:

Costello was ordained a priest in Fall River in 1974 and he had served as the pastor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish.

Fall River Bishop George Coleman placed Costello on administrative leave in January 2012 after learning from the Rhode Island State Police that Costello was “part of an investigation it had undertaken,” according to the diocese.

“The investigation did not involve the abuse of minors,” the diocese stated. No charges were filed against Coleman, the diocese said, and Coleman later moved to South Texas.
