If other actors are involved, then RF statement about not knowing where she is, may be partly true...something I kind of alluded to earlier.
He may be responsible for putting some wheels into motion, and then others took part, giving him some type of plausible deniability.

I don't think that tactic will work in this case, however.

ETA...and if that is all or partly true, that is some scary *** stuff! :moo:

I was just gonna add to my list of speculations about what details the neighbor heard, "voices of other people". Seems to be true. Mom and sis arriving in the middle of the night helping to clean up etc.

Didn't RF drive mom and sis to or over the Mexican border?

Finding Zuzu: Boyfriend named as suspect in the case

Wednesday 10-26 3:00PM Update: The boyfriend of Zuzu Verk, Robert Fabian, has officially been named as a suspect in the disappearance of Zuzu.

According to Alpine Police Chief Russell Scown, the change from Fabian being a Person of Interest to a suspect came after the investigation had progressed up to this point, including information learned 'from over 100 interviews'.

Chief Scown says that there are other Persons of Interest in the case that 'are mainly his (Robert Fabian's) family' as investigators believe they have more information about Zuzu's disappearance, but are not being cooperative with the investigation.

Investigator spoke with Fabian's mother and sister on Tuesday though Chief Scown could not disclose how the interviews went or what was discussed.

Chief Scown says that as of right now investigators are hoping Fabian appears with an attorney to answer questions and meet.

"We believe based on some of the interviews we've had that he (Fabian) may actually want to talk to us, but again his attorney is probably advising him not to do that," said Chief Scown.

"It's an open door, you know, please come in and help us find out where Zuzu is."

Scown added that while this part of the investigation has changed, search crews will continue their work and investigators are still following up on any and all leads they receive.

Chris Estrada, a friend of Fabian who has been named as a key witness has still not been cleared as of Wednesday after failing to be cleared by a polygraph test on Tuesday.

AFAIK RF's mother and sister have not been named by LE in MSM so I don't think we can name them here.

That was yesterday he took the poly and last night he spoke about it.He hasn't spoken in 19 hrs publicly

We've got about ten minutes or so before WS goes offline for the server upgrade at 6:00 p.m. EDT until Thursday morning sometime. It's hard to believe the investigation into ZuZu's disappearance can go on without us! Here's hoping and praying there is good news when we return.

This all makes total sense. Once RF clammed up and went hightailing it to his attorney's office, the cops were left between a rock and a hard spot. Pulling his mother and sister into the mix along with a friend or two is going to prompt this punk to soften his tone a little bit. I don't know if his family members had anything to do with it at all, but pulling them in and putting them under hot lights is sure to put a huge amount of pressure on RF. This may be nothing more than a tactic to get him to open up. As usual, his lawyer is the knotted kink in the chain.

His mother and sister may well have shown up to help console him after the terrible ordeal he went through of having to beat his girlfriend to death and then hide her body out in the hills. Something like that takes a lot of home cooking, drinking, talking, and counseling to get over.

More than likely they are collateral damage and may not have had a hand in this at all, but by naming them as suspects and co-conspirators it puts the ball back in RF's court. Talk, or watch the people your care about the most go up in flames.

So are his mother and sister in Mexico like earlier rumors said?!? Maybe this is why LE said they were coordinating with Mexico?
