I love bad weather. Wind, rain, pounding surf. But it can get to be destructive. Too bad. Mother Nature is formidable.

Manila worries me. Literally shacks built on hillsides. Jmo

I read that they go through many every year. Destroys everything. Houses. Crops. That’s why they stay poor. Sad but there has to be some alternative to the destruction. The US military has a strong presence on the islands. Surely the Filipino people could move towards a different life. Better housing. Away from agriculture to some type of manufacturing. To continue the same way of life and expect something different is not a good road to travel.

WHAT WE KNOW SO FAR - 222 houses sustained damages at Pandan, Catanduanes. 34 of these are totally damaged and the rest are partially damaged. - The rest of the municipalities in Catanduanes are still unreachable and have no situational reports.
