Just woke up to the news that Chloe Rutherford 17, her boyfriend Liam Curry 19, and Eilidh Macleod 14 have died. It is so desperately sad and awful. May they all Rest In Peace.

Members from the U.K have you noticed the increased security where you are? There are a lot more police around in Glasgow. They were patrolling the shopping centre when I went out for dinner last night.

A friend was just telling me she went to a local shopping centre (mall) and there were armed police on the door of Sainsburys. This is pretty shocking for us isn't it, seeing guns outside the supermarket. No likey.

Has anyone heard anything about these last 5? I think Kaia was found ok but not seen MSM, and the social media about Megan has gone quiet.

I think Megan is the one that a fundraising page for funeral expenses was initiated and Ashley was reportedly the American friend of one of the wounded. However, I notice these add up to 24 and only 22 have been reported as dead so perhaps that could indicate something?

The Guardian newspaper reported*that Abedi's identity was confirmed by British police "after officials in the United States passed it to news reporters, apparently against the wishes of the police and security services in the UK".*


Not sure how to read it. Seems that pokice were at the address arressting brother and police there were asked if it was salman abedi and police there confirmed it.

According to reports by ZDF and "Focus Online", the Manchester killer Salman Abedi flew from Düsseldorf to the British city four days before the attack. The ZDF channel as well as the news magazine Focus cite Berlin security circles, who have confirmed the flight. The German security authorities would have received this information from British investigators.

According to ZDF information, Abedi was not registered in the so-called Schengen Information System (SIS), meaning that he was not registered as being searched or for reporting of his travel activities. In addition, the man had already traveled from 2015 to the UK from Frankfurt / Main. Apparently, he had previously been in paramilitary training in Syria, Scotland Yard had informed the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA).

As reported by the magazine, antiterror experts from police and constitutional protection experts are currently in the process of determining whether Salman Abedi might have had contacts with radical German Islamists in North Rhine-Westphalia. "The scene is closely intertwined internationally," a BKA expert said. "We need to clarify whether Abedi got to know people in Syria that he has now met in NRW or Hessen."

Salman Abedi’s support for terrorism was reported this year to the security services and friends had called Britain’s anti-terrorist hotline five years ago with concerns about his views, it was claimed. He was reported for violent views, including a claim that being a suicide bomber was “OK”.

This is what needs to change imo, he was allowed to travel to countries known for training and locals that knew him had taljed to authories about his behavior yet nothing was done.

The two brothers were close, and Dagdoug said that Salman placed a call to Hashem, as well as their mother, 30 minutes before carrying out the attack.

Just checking in here, late today, that is so terribly sad. I know it was virtually inevitable that Chloe, Liam and Eilidh were deceased, but I was still hoping, against hope that it would not be so.
