A lot of human trafficking happens around the world. People will do anything including risking their own life.

I wonder where the Vietnamese migrants were put into the truck.
 
Im so interested as to what happened when the DVSA/VOSA chased them and it just so happened to be filmed by another driver who says they did not seem to want to stop.
Obviously they wont comment but it seems odd not to given the fact that this is a BIG case, involving many countries and much worse has been revealed makes me wonder if someone dropped the ball or was maybe paid off amd never thought in a million years this would come bk to bite them in the 🤬🤬🤬
 
So do we know who the person arrested at Stansted airport was yet! I might have missed it if they have already been named!!!!!
I am also keen to find out if the person arrested at Stansted has been named. It’s odd that the other two people who were arrested and released on bail were named but the name of the person at Stansted has not been divulged yet.

They all sound like low hanging fruit in this operation:
All their lives might be in danger, so they might be in hiding fearing for their safety, from their bosses...
Tons of money to be made in trafficking...
Upper level of this trafficking network will be trying to silence those lower level transportation people... IMO

That is scary. So his protective custody might unfortunately lead for him to witness protection after his release one day. Not light option to abandon everything and everyone at such a young age, for the rest of his life.

It is not unusual that these get issued tbf. Some well known Irish underworld figures have had few along with British underworld etc who have had British equivalent. TR had a good fair few warnings before his social media ban. They usually become aware through intelligence update or can be through phone taps, covert listening devices

Good point, big underworld figures get issued that - Lets not forget Harrison was just a driver, that is why it is a bit hm strange and scary.

Does Harrison knows more or is involved more than Mo to be threat to someone? It is obvious that he knew at least basics, pick up points in Europe, who to pick up (not random people) and some communications with external parties at the spots must have happend too.

While Mo would not need any of those info for just pick up and drop. Of course he might know too.. It is awfully quiet last few days around Mo. Would UK release to press if he was issued the same protective warnings as Harrison in Ireland?

I would not be suprised if there were at least two more drivers out there working with them, no one is aware of yet. They might be of the hook though as no one would be able to confirm factually their involvement in trafficking vs just regular goods delivery.

Is there any wonder why the Hughes brothers are reluctant to hand themselves in? They have likely already had same threats! Above Hughes in the chain are the heavy people. They will not want the attention....at all costs. Ireland have turned a blind eye to this for years! Occasional raid just to tidy things up. However despite the raid earlier this year and large quantity of cash being found etc they still didn’t arrest a soul! Think that speaks volumes imo!

Is it possible that Huges brothers ARE the heavy people? While many people assume big leasing company who supplied them with trailer might be involved due to their "name" lets not forget that it was "allegedly" first time ever Huges rented trailer from them.

So where did Huges brothers had trailers from prior to that company? Per press their operation is ongoing for at least a year. Did they use their own, maybe smaller trailers or from some different company? Or does big leasing company telling porkies about it being first time?

Somehow somewhere there is connection and contact between Huges operations and Vietnamese operations. In my own thought (not a fact) arrested couple and their connections and good relationship with certain Romanian, their and his visits up and down from Ireland to RO and back, even last month, is not coincidence.

This allegedly happened before the tragedy in Essex unfolded.

I very much doubt that it goes no higher than Hughes. I think it certainly does. I expect all identifying information has been cleared. Computer hard drives, mobile phones, Sat nav etc. All that is existing possibly is the GPS from Trailers. Sub leasing as mentioned in report is just a ruse in this case I wouldnt be surprised if EH was found to be the ‘subbie’.

How many trailers are involved is just a formality. They will have more than an idea by now via shipping minifests. Some jobs would of been simple industry pick ups sometimes your own trailers are not required. They will also have possibly more names of drivers. Even following the tragedy in Essex Hughes trucks were still working, as proven when the trucks were stopped in Ireland this week. Irish authorities are dragging their heels imo. Of course there is plenty to be fearful of! These men have a lot too loose.

EH will know more, he was making confirmed stops along that route. From going into the service station at Verurne to others. He’s got a lot to answer too! Simple questions of Why? To did you buy fuel? Did you pay cash or by fuel card? It opens up more and more of the investigation.

I expect further driver arrests at least in coming days. In an article C Hughes boasted of a fleet of 9 Scania’s there are 2 drivers locked up, Hughes brothers out in the wind....a lot of big holes along with R Hughes blue bull nose Scania where is that? Where are the other trucks?
 
Hi, have been following the case but first time to comment on this thread. Could it be possible that both the Hughes have been killed by the gang (therefore not able to hand over any info to the police)?
That hadn't crossed my mind but it's a possibility isn't it? Guess it depends where they sit on the pecking order of the network over in NI

I’m guessing they are around the lower end of the pyramid and the ones higher up haven’t been identified yet hence the death threats to those involved. They may have offered shelter to the hughes with the intention of killing and they fell for it.

Just my opinion though

Christopher Hughes was spotted strolling round town in Monaghan with his wife several days ago.

The others were all named by the media, not the police. Same with Robinson, he was not named by the police until he was charged. It may just be that the media have been unable to find out the identity of the Stansted bloke.
 
Was it confirmed anywhere that Mo threw a phone away and the police found it?

Sure I read they did, but may just be hearsay.
