Police searching for a missing 13-year-old boy in Rotherham have arrested a woman on suspicion of child abduction offences.
Aaron was last seen at about 08:00 BST on 2 August in the Broom area.
South Yorkshire Police said a 33-year-old woman known to Aaron had since been bailed while inquiries continued.
Detectives warned whoever "may be hiding Aaron or keeping him" were potentially committing criminal offences.
The teenager, who is eastern European, has been described by the force as being approximately 5ft tall, of large build, with short, bushy brown hair and brown eyes.
He was last seen wearing a cream hoodie, light blue tracksuit bottoms and navy trainers.
Det Insp Lee Wilson said: "Our inquiries continue in earnest to locate this missing 13-year-old boy, as it is now over three weeks since we last had any confirmed sightings of him.
"This is obviously incredibly concerning given his young age, and it's imperative that we find him as soon as possible to ensure he is safe and well."
Officers believe the youngster may have travelled to London or Manchester, as he has connections in both of areas.
"One arrest has been made so far as part of this investigation and I would advise anyone who may be hiding Aaron or keeping him from police officers that they are potentially committing criminal offences," said Mr Wilson.
"I'd urge the public to look at this latest image of Aaron, which was taken earlier this year and is one of the most recent photos we have.
"Have you seen him in the last three weeks? If so, where and who was he with?"
The detective appealed to those with "any piece of information, even if you feel it is insignificant" to get in touch.

The South Yorkshire police announced 5hey found a missing child Today.

NEWS: Operation Scorpion returns to Sheffield

A dedicated two-day policing operation in the South West of Sheffield resulted in seven arrests, six vehicle seizures and the recovery of cash and Class A drugs.

The latest Operation Scorpion also led to the location of a missing child and the seizure with partners of 314 illegal and dangerous vapes.

On Wednesday and Thursday (24 and 25 August), resources from across the force and partner organisations united to deliver enforcement and engagement activity in the Lowedges, Batemoor and Jordanthorpe areas.

The operation was developed in response to a series of violent incidents that have taken place in the area, which we know have caused concern to the local community.

As part of the operation, our local South West Neighbourhood Policing Team worked together with colleagues from Operation Fortify and our Operational Support Unit to deliver a range of proactive activity. Operation Fortify is South Yorkshire's partnership approach to dealing with serious violent crime and organised criminality.

Across the day, four warrants were executed in the area, and 14 stop searches were carried out. This led to seven arrests, five of which were for drugs offences, as well as the recovery of cash and Class A and B drugs including heroin, crack cocaine, amphetamine and cannabis. Six vehicles were also seized for having no insurance, or as they were believed to be stolen.

Of note, officers also located a missing child at an address where a warrant had been executed.

Working with partners also forms an important part of Operation Scorpion. Across the day we worked with Sheffield City Council to deliver safeguarding visits to vulnerable people, and together with the council’s licensing and trading standards teams, we delivered checks at a number of retail premises which led to the seizure of 314 illegal and dangerous vapes, as well as a quantity of illegal alcohol.

Acting Detective Inspector Matt Lavender from Operation Fortify said: “It was great to be out in Sheffield again for another successful Operation Scorpion, which once again saw some fantastic results. I’m pleased that as a result of this activity, two wanted individuals were located, and drugs, cash and stolen vehicles were recovered and are no longer in the hands of those intent on committing crime.

“By detecting and disrupting criminals and criminal behaviour, and displaying a high visibility police presence, we are able to show the public that we continue to keep the public safe and deny criminals a place in our communities. This is particularly important in areas like Lowedges, Batemoor and Jordanthorpe where we know there have been a number of concerning incidents recently, so we want our communities to know we’re acting on their concerns.”

A/DI Lavender added: “Hopefully this activity, as well as the other Operation Scorpions we have delivered recently across South Yorkshire, sends out a strong message to those undertaking organised criminal behaviour that we will hunt you down and disrupt your activities, and we will do everything within our power to bring you to justice.”
