Please correct me if wrong BUT we do not know if a condom even existed in actuality.

I do not believe the accused even used a condom while assaulting Alesha.

Reference of a condom is strictly by the defense when they lie about Accused and Toni having had sex earlier using a condom and then apparently Toni carrying the condom away and later using contents, semen, to contaminate the crime seen and implicate the accused. MOO
Grotesque, I know, but he may not have full ejaculated anyway. He had been drinking after all and I suspect it was less about sex anyway and more about harm and control. Evil pig.

The court also hears the accused’s DNA ‘could be’ contributing to DNA samples taken from Alesha’s right hand, wrists, underarms and bruises

The report also found traces of DNA from the accused on Alesha MacPhail’s face and neck - he says it is again a billion times more likely to have come from the 16-year-old than from another contributor

Finally evidence that really cant be doubted by the jury

I really don't know if he's going to survive prison. I know it's probably not something we should be speculating about but he'll definitely need to be segregated and kept under watch.

Even though I knew all this info was going to come out it’s still made me feel really sad this morning. Like it’s hit me hard reading it all

I understand the logic behind regular posts that play devil’s advocate after every single piece of evidence but I don’t think that’s necessary for this one. This form of DNA evidence is the smoking gun in this case, the one thing that just can’t be explained away.

The only other explanation offered is so ridiculous and unlikely that reasonable doubt isn’t even a factor. The jury aren’t going to say ‘well I guess this story about Alesha’s father’s girlfriend framing the accused with a condom might have happened, despite hardly any evidence to suggest that was remotely possible, I guess we’ll have to find him innocent.’

Now we understand why the witness is last - the slam dunk evidence which will be most recent in the jury's memory...

Now who on earth are defence going to call? They've already cross-examined all the various prosecution witnesses... who else is there to talk to other than the accused?

I don't know. There have been many that I expected to be killed or seriously harmed by now but haven't.

And for anyone who wants to quote that he’s innocent now, shame on you. That poor girl what she went through at the hands of this MONSTER. Thanks for all the twitter updates, I really couldn’t bare to quote them today.

Accused teen's semen 'found on Alesha's body'
Forensic scientist Stuart Bailey has told the court that “traces of semen attributable to the accused were found” on Alesha’s body

.But Mr Bailey added it was “scientifically possible” that semen could have been planted on the six-year-old.

There was suggestion that the accused may be called

'Traces of accused's DNA also found on Alesha's neck and face'

Forensic scientist Stuart Bailey is continuing his evidence.

He said traces of DNA matching the accused were also found on the six-year-old’s face and neck.

This whole case has been hard to deal with - from that day in July. The trial has had a profound impact on a few of us I'm sure... I know I've burst into tears a few times in the last week, I'm sure I'm not alone. Poor Alesha. :(

Samples taken from within Alesha’s room did not have any DNA attributable to the accused boy, but it did have traces “unsuitable for interpretation” because they were so small.
