In Scotland, being a grass carries a huge, huge stigma... I have seen it growing up in Glasgow, being a grass can get worse reactions than committing certain crimes, now what other things he done people were aware of I don't know for sure but assume they were not considered as bad enough to be labeled a grass for reporting it.

Totally agree - being a grass was a real stigma in Glasgow even as a child your were stigmatised for even telling the teacher if someone broke the rules - when the crime is as henious as this one people tend to sing like canaries and rightly so .... I'd say we are getting a clearer picture of what this '.........' was really like !!

Anyway I am still finding it difficult to figure out how he got Alesha out of the house ... the Judge is quoted in his summary 'he took he from her bed' - I am prob the 1,000,000th person to ask this 'how did he do this without anyone hearing anything'.

Can anyone remind me what time the witness in car seen TM & AC in middle of the night ? - sorry I am a being lazy it's been along week

I believe she said she saw RM and TM arguing at around 11pm at night. TM tried to walk in a certain direction and RM touched her arm as if to get her to turn around. Something along those lines. Also RM was apparently wearing sunglasses and TM was upset.

Yeh there's a few possibilities. I think it's interesting that when he returns the first time he is wearing a t-shirt and dark trousers. This is different to the dark top and light jogging bottoms he was said to have gone out in no? I really want to see the video of him going out in the first place...as well as the argument with his Mum. Has he gone with the intention of taking Alesha and worn two layers of clothing knowing that he was going to have to dispose of the top and jogging bottoms??

As I understood it he was wearing dark grey jogging bottoms and a black Nike hoodie when he originally went out - before he took Alesha - and ditched the hoodie before coming back to the house the first time

Thanks TC - I must have lost it completely - I thought this witness said she seen AC and TM ... just as well I am not on Jury DOH !

Yes for crimes such as this the stigma does not apply for sure. I think the whole he went in and took her is very implausible, too much risk to do so, was this the second floor flat?

Need to remember the prosecution dropped the charge for attempting to defeat the ends of justice by disposing of clothing

But aren't they inside out, maybe darker on the outside? Wasn't there a photo of him yesterday that someone thought may have been taken at the party that night, showing him in the clothes described in trial? I'll try and find it

Oh don't worry it's understandable! There are so many witnesses and reports and conflicting rumours in this trial that it's easy to get mixed up,
I think if it had been TM and AC spotted together though that would have been a much stronger argument for the defence.

He's inflicted 117 injuries, raped and murdered a 6 year old girl. I have no idea how you can speculate on what he may perceive as 'risky'.

Rational thinking doesn't apply here.

Grassing in an abuser will carry zero stigma.

It's implausible to me too.

My understnding ... the house was split into 2 ... The McPhails entrance was from the back ... they had chair lift in their entrance up to their actual flat (part of the house) the entrance was soley for their use however the 'home" was when they entered front door at top of stairs. Hope that makes sense .....

I sincerely believe they have got the right man but how he got the poor wee soul out I can't fathom.

Totally agree!! He’s known to be an Adrenalin junkie, impulsive and clearly twisted. These things together explain everything. The reason people can’t get their heads around it is because most people aren’t sociopathic/psychopathic narcissists. People are applying normal logic to a person who’s thinking and personality is the opposite of that.

I believe it was this one. Also I don't think these are the same joggers, but similar ones. JMO

Here it is:

I don't think they are the same as the ones on the beach.

The ones on the beach appear to have some sort of black pattern on them.

Maybe like a patch down the legs or something.

A teenage boy would probably have a few pairs of grey joggers it's almost like a uniform for them lol.

They don’t look like the same joggers to me, and I think it said on the night of the party he was drinking wine, not bottles of cider. So doubt it’s the same night.
