Is Horn really a common name in Scotland? Maybe only in parts of Scotland. I’ve never come across anyone called Horn myself.
Me neither, when I think of it

Horn is a fairly common name in Scotland so it has good odds on being a coincidence imo.

Agree....was just a double take moment when i saw that name.

Probably nothing in it

No, I don't think so. But we know that she either thinks he's guilty and yet is still with him despite what he did which is... odd OR she believes him in which case she thinks he had an affair with TM and thus cheated on her and she's okay with that? Either way doesn't work out very good.

I think that's a tad unfair. This girlfriend is a 16 year old girl who has just found out her boyfriend is a child rapist and murderer. She's probably feeling all sorts of emotion and struggling to cope with it all, I know I would be at that age. If anything she might be in denial, who wants to believe they've been dating a person who could carry out such a barbaric act?

I'm sure in time she'll come to her senses and won't stick by him at all.

I suppose this is true. I should give her the benefit of the doubt. After all, there are full-grown adults who lust after and even marry murderers/rapists after their crimes come out. I hope she comes to her senses too.

Why sleuth the family? Surely that's not allowed on here.

I'm brand new but been following the last few days. Well done for keeping the conversation on track.

<modsnipped sleuthing family>I also wonder about a connection with the siblings, though I'm pretty sure that would have come out in court wouldn't it?

As a mum, I felt a bit gutted for her when she said she moved there because she thought it would be a safe place for him to grow up. Looks like she really tried to give him the best of everything, looking at the tech he's had from an early age, the garden set up etc. She must be absolutely devastated. Hard enough to think of a total stranger doing things like that to a child.

(AC’s) mum... said she was urged to check footage last July 2 by the aunt of Toni McLachlan...

She recalled: “She said to me to look at 2am onwards because that’s the last time Toni saw her in bed

‘ I waited for my friend to finish work and said to her, ‘Look, I’ve gone through that CCTV from the time that you’ve said and he has gone out and come back’.

“She said, ‘Well, you better phone the police’.”

So, Toni saw Alesha at 2am

Were we, and more importantly the jury, aware of this ?

We were told that TM went to the bathroom and then switched off Alesha’s dvd...but no time was stated..at least not to us, might have been given in court

I wonder what on earth would have happened if AC's mum wasn't friends with TM's aunt?

Its been an awful emotional case, we have all been affected emotionally by it and no wonder, he is guilty, next step sentence and learn from it

I think there were other timings in that article which were incorrect. Didn’t it also say AC was only gone an hour and returned at 3am?

You people are UNREAL!

NO SLEUTHING FAMILY!

That means no searching for Dad or Sister or even Mum.

Come on!

I'd still really like to know more about the relationship between AC and RM & TM. How did they meet? How many times did they meet him?

I absolutely don't think RM and TM have done anything wrong - they just had the misfortune to know AC and this could have happened to anyone with a wee girl on the island.
I also felt quite sorry for them having the cannabis and 🤬🤬🤬🤬 stuff mentioned in the papers. I'm just really curious how well they knew him. If he was a regular acquaintance this could be harder for them to take than if he was just a very distant teenager they met a couple of times.

Hello, Ironside, the prisoner knew T and R as they were drug dealers on the Island, or at least R was. He supplied drugs to the prisoner and his 14 year old sister. The prisoner has stated in the past that he knew T through school (she is at least 2 years older than him). He has also stated that he and T had a "Friends with Benefits" relationship from the October to Jan prior to Alesha's murder. T has refuted that.
R had been asked to cease selling drugs to the youngster and it has been reported that he did just that. However, it has also been reported that he (continued) to sell drugs to the boy's 14 year old sister. I am unaware of the extent of the couple's involvement with him, I am just repeating what has been reported via MSM. I am of the opinion that lots of Sleuthers know much more to the background than I and can quite possibly fill you in more. Hope that helps a wee bit.

That CCTV video is truly chilling.

Sounds familiar, but there’s a longer and better quality version available on the Daily Mail website than the one linked here. As he comes back to the house for the first time you can hear what I think is him telling himself, very loudly, to “Ssssshhhhh”?!

Can’t help but notice a cobweb in front on the camera too, thank goodness this one didn’t get in the way too much

(AC) was put on the phone to Toni’s aunt Amanda.

The mum said: “She was talking to him about DNA and he said, ‘Oh that’s a wee bit worrying. What’s DNA? I don’t know what DNA is’.

She was explaining to him and he said, ‘Oh that’s fine because I wasn’t anywhere near that little girl’
