Hey Everyone,

An excellent example of how rumor becomes fact is the "skinned cat" story.

Someone posted that man in question had skinned two cats. Then added didn't know if it was true or not.

Guess what many of you are posting now? About this guy "skinned two cats." Rumor turning into fact.

Please leave the cats out of the discussion unless you can find a mainstream media source of this story.

Thank you,
Tricia

Where did they lie in court? Are you talking about the alleged argument that the witness wasnt totally sure about?

Seemed pretty sure about it to me. Also pretty sure that she (i think) had heard 'skin on skin' beatings for a period of three months. Also seemed pretty sure that she (i think) had heard TM calling out 'somebody help me'. Was also sure enough to raise it with RM's dad who told her she hadn't heard anything and saying such things would jeopardise RM's claim for custody of AM. Although she obviously heeded that ...erm....advice at the time, she was still sure enough to go to court about it.

What I don't get is why if AC says that he was in contact with TM via old instagram posts did he not have to show evidence of this? and if that was the case then why on that night did he contact her via Facebook? Also why contact RM if he was apparently meeting his gf for sex? His whole story is a complete nonsense and I don't feel like they pressed him enough on all this in court.

From a few days ago. A reminder of how the Judge saw the evidence at trial - overwhelming was his wording. bbm

Judge Lord Matthews told the killer he had stolen Alesha's life by "committing some of the most wicked and evil crimes this court has ever heard of in decades of dealing with depravity".

He said he had "no idea" why the teenager carried out the murder, and described the evidence in the case as "overwhelming".

Boy, 16, guilty of Alesha rape and murder

Hmmm

Lyndsay said: "From the moment I first saw Aaron
when he was just two, I thought he was evil. He was
like Damien from The Omen
"I think he was born evil -his parents tried but he
was always bad from the very beginning
"He was a ticking timebomb and his conviction is no surprise.
Lyndsay lived on Bute for years and became pals
with Campbell's mum Janette, 54, when the family moved to the island

BBM

She met Aaron at aged TWO? When his family moved to the island?

They didn't move to the island until Aaron was 5-6 - until then, they lived in Shropshire.

Yeah ... great, factual, thoroughly accurate, proofread & editor approved article eh?

AC said the communication went on via Instagram after the cyber expert said he wasn't able to get any information from Instagram.

The judge heard all of the testimony and pretty much said his "special" (lol) defense was appalling and rubbish likely because of details like you pointed out in your post. Like they say, you can't make chicken salad out of chicken sh** which is what AC was trying to do.

y
Why do you think TM and (perhaps others) had suspicions of AC's involvement?
In Court it was testified TM had received texts in morning saying that AC was involved . Only after she received a text from AC that he put her mind at ease by saying she would be nearby.
She stated she had a bad feeling about the contact made by AC and had to ask him why he had called the night before

Maybe some local knowledge that we are not aware of

Island idyll shattered by a teenage murderer hungry for online fame

Worth a read guys. There's more detailed info about the cats. You will have to sign up for an account which is free and quick.

Edit, is a long read and most of the stuff has already been mentioned. part of article added - Two people independently gave accounts of how a neighbour’s kitten had gone missing and later Aaron’s mother returned it dead, claiming it had been killed by a car. Another neighbour told me there were rumours Aaron had burnt animals. One neighbour claimed the boy had been previously accused of a sexual assault that had been “brushed under the carpet".

They got a 15-0 conviction.

It may not have come through as persuasively in the media, but that's not the prosecution's problem.

They got the job done, and IMO justice was served.

This 2am thing has been brought up alot on this thread. It's difficult to say at the moment because I don't really know if we can believe anything that comes out of AC's mother's mouth at the moment but I think if she was asked to check the CCTV from 2am onwards then the likelihood is that Toni had told her Aunt about the messages from AC just before 2am and maybe the Aunt didn't want to say check the CCTV from there because we think your son might have something to do with it and instead said something else.
Possibly who knows why it is reported like that . Also time returning is wrong so maybe her mind is a little confused or its reported wrongly or there are some reasons behind it like what you have suggested

Is it known where on the beach it was found? Was it near the road or near the water (depending on the tide)? Is it likely to have been in an area that the 'shadowy figure' was walking?

Map from the Scottish Sun. Not near the CCTV of the shadowy figure.

mrazda, I have previously responded to that question via another poster, so I will not repeat it at length. Suffice it to say that I do feel sorry for the father, he is quite obviously heartbroken at losing his beloved child. I have never said, at any time, that he is responsible for what happened. The essence of my previously response is that if I were dealing drugs there is no way that I would allow punters to come to my door when my child frequently stayed there, for a multitude of reasons. Not victim bashing, he does have my sympathy, but drugs and children do not mix.

I wrote my comment before you'd replied to another poster.

I am very anti drugs - but in this instance, Rab wasn't a dealer to any old randomers - he sold small amounts of weed to people he knew.

Aaron was not at all a stranger! They lived on a very small island and Toni and Aaron's families were very close.

It's not like Rab had all the junkies and crack heads at his door - in which case, I might agree with you.

Some people on the forum were asking about the specific spot Alesha was found, well this youtube video show the reporter going to the spot in the woods. It also shows some video footage of AC that I hadn't seen before.
Good description and perfectly describes the CCTV footage and what he was actually doing the 2nd and 3rd time he left the house and also him returning from woods following attack
